Principal Activities of Maanaw Seva Association (MSA)
Locally
Internationally
MSA has been working towards awareness of Health and enhancement of Education tools for children. It also offers a support network for youths in need.
MSA has in the past organized seminar on “Matter of Heart” which is still fresh in everybody's mind. The recent seminar on “Matter of Cancer” was a huge success.
MSA in cooperation with the Edmonton Public School Board, has been donating funds from the annual walk-a-thon to inner city school in need. Some of the past recipients of these funds have been: Norwood School, Parkdale School, Brieview School and Mee-Yah-Non School.
MSA is involved in projects such as providing Health and Hygiene facilities in remote areas through mobile clinics, free education for children in remote villages and arranging basic commodities like food, shelter and infrastructure in remote communities.
One of the big achievements of MSA is the foundation of Shakuntala Devi Baal Vidyalaya, in U.P. India, which was founded in 1990. The school provides free education to approximately 400 students & continues to grow every year.
Some of the recent notable projects of MSA include: Scholarships to Women's Engineering Colleges, Funding for Tribal Girls Hostel, A vehicle for addiction relief society and help with Heart surgery for infants.
