Walk-in Interview for Assistant Professor
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is a dynamic growth oriented
organization established to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of
higher education with focus on professional education. The University invites applications,
on the prescribed form, for the post of Assistant Professors in the University School of
Information & Communication Technology (USICT) in the following disciplines on purely
temporary and contract basis for six months or till the positions are filled up on regular basis,
whichever is earlier :-

Emoluments : A consolidated amount will be paid as per University norms
(Minimum expected remunerations shall be Rs.38,880/-per month).
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree with a first class or a equivalent grade in relevant discipline. For the
Candidates not having qualification of M. Tech./MBA, a Doctoral Degree is a must for the
post of Assistant Professor. Regarding NET, UGC guidelines shall be followed wherever
applicable from time to time.

Procedure to Apply:
� The candidate should download the prescribed application form available at University website
www.ipu.ac.in and bring it dully filled in, on the date of Interview.
� The candidates applying for the post of Assistant Professor should submit Five Copies of
summary sheet alongwith the application form which is also available on University website.
� One set of self attested certificates and other supporting documents are to be attached with the
application form. The candidates should bring original certificates at the time of Interview.
� The persons already in employment in Government/ Semi-Government organizations/ Public
Sector undertakings/ Autonomous organizations, the endorsement form must be signed by the
employer.
� Reservation for posts at Asstt. Professor level shall be as per Govt. of NCT of Delhi policies.

� In case of in-service candidates from Private sector, acceptance of resignation and relieving letter
from the employer at the time of joining must be submitted.
� Other general instructions and essential information for applying to faculty positions is available
at the University website.
� No TA/DA will be paid for attending Interview.
Terms & Conditions:
1. The appointments shall be purely on contract basis for a period of 06 months only or till regular incumbents joins the post, whichever is earlier. It shall be deemed to
automatically come to an end on expiry of the said contract period and no extension
shall be granted, thereafter.
2. The appointment can be discontinued with one month notice by either side without
assigning any reason. Also, the appointee shall not have any claim whatsoever for
regular appointment on any position on the basis of contract appointment or for
continuing contractual appointment and may be terminated even when a regular post is
lying vacant.
3. The contract appointment shall be regulated as per the statute/ ordinance of the
University.
4. The candidate should not have been convicted by any court of law.
5. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
6. If any declaration/ information furnished is found false or any material/ fact suppressed willfully, the contractual engagement shall be terminated forthwith.
7. No enquiry personal or in writing for recruitment shall be entertained. 8. Legal disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of Delhi Courts.
