The YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program

The YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program gets to the root of the diabetes epidemic by helping those at high risk of developing the disease make lifestyle changes by focusing on healthy eating, increasing physical activity, and maintaining a healthy weight. Groups meet with a trained YMCA lifestyle coach for 16 core sessions to learn and practice these lifestyle skills. After the initial 16 sessions, participants meet once a month for 8 additional sessions which provides them with added support to help them maintain progress throughout the year. This program may be covered by your health insurance carrier.

Financial Assistance is available. Contact: Ed Duvinski (P) 845 344 9622 Ext. 233 (E) [email protected]
