The versions of the electric starter can be started conveniently by turning the ignition key. The electric starter is fed from a vibration-resistant battery. - Pleasant, simple and safe to use thanks to a reliable "electronic control" at the height of the guide handle. It replaces the previous relay control and its position makes it resistant against malfunctions caused by vibrations and moisture and well protected against short circuits and incorrect voltage.

- Efficient operation with an invention from Wacker Neuson: The direction can be changed directly at the guide handle without repositioning. This allows for intuitive operation and reduces mistakes when using the vibratory plate.

- The vibratory plate has extensive reserves and therefore never reaches its maximum output. This protects the engine and makes the DPU 100-70 extremely long-lived and robust.

- Very safe: The vibratory plate automatically switches into safe operating mode in the case of an error or if control is lost, without the emergency stop switch or operator back-up safety feature having to be activated.

THE VIBRATORY PLATE WITH THE GREATEST CENTRIFUGAL FORCE.

The efficient solution for demanding compaction tasks. The DPU 130 combines the performance of a 7 t roller with the product and operating advantages of vibratory plates:

- With a centrifugal force of 130 kN, it is by far the most powerful vibratory plate on the market and can easily replace any 7 t roller.

- Lighter and easier to transport than rollers, making it ideal for frequently changing places of use.

- A convenient operating concept: Control is exclusively via the intuitively operated infrared remote control. This means that the operator is not troubled by noise, exhaust, dust or vibrations. Autostart function simplifies commissioning.

- Safety at the highest level: Remote control makes the DPU 130 ideally suited for compaction on slopes, since it means that there is then no danger of falling off ride-on machines. Thanks to a proximity recognition sensor, the machine switches itself off if it gets too close to the operator.

- Electronic security systems provide protection against theft (PIN entry) and prevent damage to the machine from incorrect operation (overload protection during operation on unsuitable, extremely hard surfaces such as concrete).

- Its light weight in comparison with rollers means that it can also be used in statically sensitive locations: on bridges, in town centers, on protected buildings of historical value or on special surfaces such as railroad construction ballasts.

- Tailored for maximum productivity in detail also: One full tank is normally sufficient for a whole working day, and the high-performance rechargeable battery for the remote control for about two working days.

- All components are designed for high performance and continuous use, and are therefore extremely robust.

- Using the DPU 130 allows the compaction of much greater layer thicknesses than when using a 5.5 t roller. This results in a significantly greater effective surface capacity.

- If it's impossible or unprofitable to use large rollers, the coupling set proves its worth.

The lifting device makes it possible to load the coupling set in one piece. A fairly large car trailer is all that's needed for transport. A flat bed truck, such as would be required to transport a 10 t vibratory roller is not required.

Strong performance in double or triple array.

The extreme flexibility of the coupling set is also proven by the fact that it can be used as either a single plate, double set or triple set depending on the actual requirements and working conditions, such as the structural stress on a structure or confined working areas.

Modifications require only a few steps and can be car-ried out on site without any particular technical exper-tise, because the machines are not connected to each other either hydraulically or electrically, but with cutting edge infrared technology.

The infrared remote control of the coupling set allows the operator to operate the machine at a considerable distance. This keeps the operator completely safe and free from being exposed to direct risks, such as exhaust fumes, dust formation or hand-arm vibrations.

The patented location of the exciters below the central axis of the drums provides a low center of gravity and makes the roller extremely tip-resistant. The low position ensures that the centrifugal forces are conducted directly into the soil, providing very good compaction performance.

The patented articulated joint allows uninterrupted compacting around rounded components without the need for additional compaction on the edge with a rammer. This not only saves time and money, but also provides excellent maneuverability. The rigid articulation leads to a highly tip-resistant machine and provides brilliant handling.

Easily accessible machine components. The hoods of the RT can be opened without dif-ficulty and allow optimal access to components. They are made of highly impact-resistant rust-free, durable material with a high load capacity.

The liquid-cooled diesel engine provides large supply reserves and is extremely accessible.

Thanks to its proximity recognition sensor the vibratory trench roller will stop immediately if the safety distance between the operator and the machine is less than two meters. More information is available on pages 56-61.

The link to the remote control: The infrared receiver eye.

If the operator loses contact with the infrared receiver eye, the vibratory trench roller will stop all movement and compaction. If the inclination angle is too steep, the integrated tilt sensor will also switch off the roller.

All engine functions at a glance.

The diagnosis LED displays of the engine control unit simplify operation and troubleshooting by monitoring different engine functions: oil pressure, radiator fluid level, engine temperature, glow plug, battery, tilt angle and air filter capacity.

This remote control with added safety is a welcome sight on every construction site:

- Optimal safety concept: The machine stops as soon as the operator lets go of the joystick or the machine comes closer than two meters from the operator.

- Intuitive operation with a magnetic joystick.

- 16 adjustable channels for communication between the operator and the machine. Channels can be selected quickly and easily with a switch on the remote control.

- Three machines of the same model can be controlled by three different operators at the same time without any interference.

- Long-life, high-performance NIMH batteries provides long operating periods.

The wide transmitting field of up to 20 m and an angle of up to 45° provides excellent comfort at work.
