  • 18 Workshops Some objectives Workshop1: Setting the scene and understanding the problem Start exploring some of the methods available to understand vulnerability and climate impacts Workshop 2: Identifying and appraising solutions Provide approaches, methods and tools to prioritize no/low regret options and to make a case clear economic for investment Workshop 3: Delivering solutions Highlight the financing strategies for the portfolio of initial no/low regret investment identified at workshop 2 and in intervening period Explain how these can be integrated into existing development planning processes Workshop 4: Monitoring and moving forwards and introduction to the framework Highlight the importance of an effective M& E framework in assessing added values for applying the framework Workshop 5: Wrap up, lessons learned Wrap up the training programme; review activities, outcomes, actual learning taking place etc. A series of 5 National Training Workshops
  • 19 Mentoring process Comments In between WS1-WS2 Each mentor is assigned a Mentor (One of the three Trainer) Mentor-Mentee agreement signed at most 10 days after the 1st National Training Workshop Mentor support the Mentor to perform tasks related to WS/ CRD and relevant for his home institution based on Action Plan and Project Paper Mentor support Mentee to share knowledge acquired with his/ her colleagues The status on the implementation of the Participant Action Plan/ Project Paper is shared with other Participants during each Workshop Follow up meetings with the Mentee-Management In between WS3-WS3 In between WS3-WS4 In between WS4-WS4 The mentoring process In between Workshops

  • Sustainability of GWP with WACDEP-CDP 40 National Training Coordinators and Trainers are recruited and contractualised within targeted countries Continuous smooth implementation of the programme Better alignment with trainees duties and their home institution related to CCA and key national relevant processes like NAP Processes, GGCCS in Rwanda, NBSAP in Cameroon, NCCRS in Zimbabwe.. Implementation of the M&E system put in place and documentation of lessons learnt Institution development focusing on GWP Team Managers who can take forward the process at least as NTC
