Renewable energy is produced from resources that restore themselves naturally on a human timescale. POPULAR RENEWABLE ENERGY TYPES Solar, wind and hydropower are well-known types of renewable energy. RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS A less known, but very reliable type is renewable natural gas or RNG, the use of which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions. SOURCES OF RNG RNG comes from organic sources such as landfills, livestock, wastewater or food waste. RNG GENERATION As microorganisms break down the organic waste, they produce biogas. RNG PROCESSING Impurities are then removed from the biogas to produce RNG, which is interchangeable with natural gas. RNG DELIVERED TO YOU RNG can be added to the existing natural gas grid and used in buildings, factories, transportation and electrical generation. BENEFITS OF RNG RNG reduces greenhouse gas emissions, diversifies energy sources, improves waste management and supports local economic development.
