Voyager – the organisation, history, product(s) and services. In the late 90’s there was little choice when it came to Recruitment Software – Voyager

changed that.

Voyager Software has become one of the most established Recruitment Software brands in

the market having been one of the first companies to address the Recruitment Software

market space.

“Like most great software solutions, the product was born from a simple need. Recruiters

required a solution that was primarily ‘easy-to-use’ and one that helped, not hindered, the

Recruiter in their process. ‘Admin’ should be automated and ‘sales’ should be maximised –

Voyager was our solution.” Geoffrey Warburton - Voyager founder.

Voyager Software Limited now provides advanced, fully integrated, end-to-end recruitment

solutions, which are largely used by perm, temp and contingency recruiters. Intuitive,

innovative and functionally rich, Voyager’s products have been designed by recruiters to

enable users to spend more time growing their client and candidate relationships, rather than

painstakingly logging their activities.

Voyager products are used in over 30+ countries by thousands of recruiters in different-sized

recruitment businesses.

Over the years Voyager has developed, maintained and enhanced five core Recruitment

solutions:

1. Voyager 'Infinity'- Perm & Long-term Contract.

2. Voyager 'Commercial'- The Complete Perm & Temps Solution.

3. Voyager 'VDQ!'- Fast-paced Temporary & Casual Labour.

4. Voyager 'Mid-Office'- The Pay & Bill Solution.

5. Voyager 'Bureau'- Pay & Bill - for the Outsourced Provider.

Voyager is proud to be a REC Business Partner, a TEAM Service Provider, Investors in People

accredited, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and a Sage Business Partner.

Be ‘Agile’ – Our Methodology to Software Development and Project Planning

Agile software development is a group of software development methods in which

requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organising, cross-

functional teams. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery,

continuous improvement, and encourages rapid and flexible response to change.

“Working in such an environment is invigorating” – Martin Evans - Development Director

Migrating to Voyager from another solution?

Don’t want to start from scratch? Looking to get help and advice from experts who’ve done it

before?

Bring you old system’s candidates, contacts, clients and jobs with you into Voyager. You can

choose how much or little information you would like to bring. Whether it is an import of basic

information from a spreadsheet template or a full conversion, Voyager can offer a package

to suit your needs.

A data conversion guide is available upon request and illustrates the areas of a system that

can be migrated from popular databases such as Bullhorn, Bond Adapt, RDB Pro / ProNet, Red

Rabbit, Influence and Microdec Profile.

If your current system is not listed, no problem, just ask – Voyager has done data migrations

from most industry-specific products before, but even if you’ve got a bespoke system, chances

are Voyager can get your data across.

Bespoke data-import services are what we’re best at.

What to expect from a Voyager data import

For our conversions we opt for a two-phased data conversion approach. This provides you with

a trial copy of your data to review and try out before you cut-over to Voyager’s solutions. This

offers you more peace of mind before you roll out your new system to the whole business.

What are the IT requirements for Voyager?

The key to successful implementation and go-live is flexibility.

Voyager’s solutions can be deployed in a variety of ways and so review your proposal for the

recommended specification and deployment type.

Voyager Software can be;

1. Installed locally on your laptop/desktop/server

2. Installed on your 3rd party Cloud Service Provider

3. Installed on our Cloud Platform see - http://www.voyage.co.uk/products/virtual-voyager.html

Security – summarised in brief.

Key to being able to answer this question is based entirely on how Voyager is deployed.

For those with an on-premise installation of Voyager there are two types of security in the

system.

1. Application – each user / group has a specific access level set on each object. The

passwords for users can have complexity set on them, i.e. Alphanumeric, Password

History, Length and Expires in X days.

2. System – this can be as secure or casual as the business requires. For the most secure

installation we can even deploy the server side components in to a WCF package on

IIS.
