Greetings from Loveland! By the time you are reading this, we willprobably all be home. Our group of Modesto Area A’s had a fairly uneventfultrip from Modesto to Loveland. We had seven Model A’s, a Model A on a trailer, one of our members in a modern car, a Model A from Fresno and a traileredFresno Model A. Only minor, fixable-on-the-road problems and a couple ofmembers that took a fairly significant detour. The drive thru Rocky MountainNational Park was breath-taking. At 12,200 feet elevation, the little A’s don’tbreath very well, but we all made it thru. The convention so far (Tuesday) hasbeen outstanding. More about that when we return.

Don’t forget the Fourth of July Parade and BBQ. If you have anyquestions, call either Strat or the Nicolau’s.

Also, the Copper Creek Car Show and Tribute to Jack Adams will be onJuly 29th and we will have more info at the July 4th meeting.

Happy 4th of July and see you all soon!

Jim

Dear Modesto Model Aers:Hello from Jim and I in Loveland, Colorado! After

two years of planning to attend this event, we are in themiddle of the week'’ activities. There are 29 othermembers here, too. We are enjoying the National Meet.

Since we have been here, quite a few of us havereceived compliments from Model Aer’s who attended ourNCRG Round-Up in May.

And I, too, want to extend my congrats for a fun andwell-done weekend. I especially want to express kudos tosome, all the while knowing that it took everyone whoworked on the Round-Up to make it the successful eventthat it was.

First, I would like to give pats on the back to StrattRiggs and Donna Nicolau and to Marci Schellman; newermembers who volunteered to work on something that theyhad never experienced. Stratt chaired the TrophiesCommittee AND was the M.C. for the Final Banquet. Donna took charge of the centerpieces for the FinalBanquet and nailed our ideas of the bounty in and aroundModesto; plus a wooden “old” truck to set it all off. And,Marci put together great goodie bags.

Then there were the long timers who took on othertasks. Bob Ott (and Sharon) had the Round Up Chairmanduties and hiccups. Theresa (and her handy hubby, Paul)prepared the Fashions related activities. Carol and DaveHansen did Registrations; what more should I say aboutthat!? Art and Mary Lou had a great raffle room full ofprizes. And the Gymkanna Team (Jack Martin, JackHanney, Jerry Morrison and crew) set up a fun time in ourcars. Who knew little rubber chickens could bounce somuch! High fives to those I have listed and/or missed.

Long time or new, together we put on a great NCRGRound-Up! WOW! CONGRATS to all of us!

Sincerely,First Lady, Dianne

Era Fashion News ….From Teresa Gissible

Happy 4th of July everyone! So, your Round Up is behind us, YEA! I have to back track abit.

First, “Thank You” Bob and Sharon Ott! They did an Outstanding Job. I couldn’t have doneall this without Sharon’s help. Speaking of help. I had fabulous help, in the Boutique, theFashion Judging, the Awards Brunch and the Movie. If it weren’t for all of you I would neverhave survived. You know that TV show Naked and Afraid? Well that was me without all of you!

Now, I need to back track again. Happy Father's Day Gentlemen! Since we’ll be in Coloradofor the Nationals, I thought you’d enjoy an easy vintage look of Men’s styles. Notice the pantswith wide legs, the more fitted jackets, then the knickers with vest, jacket and tie. Check out theargyle sox and oxford shoes. Notice the gentlemen in the upper left with the belted jacket andcap very sporty look. This is a summer looks like a boat show or boat race. This is a great lookfor all guys.
