CELEBRATING OUR STAFF
MILESTONE YEARS OF SERVICE
On Wednesday, June 10, 2015 Hunter’s Ambulance Service and Hunter Limousines celebrated our
10th Milestone Years of Service Celebration. This event was established to honor those dedicated
employees who have worked for us for 10 years or more. The Milestone Years of Service are 10-15-20-25-
30 years of service. Each employee deserves recognition for providing care, compassion and service to so
many people throughout the communities we serve as well as to our companies. The event provides the
opportunity for those present to share “old stories,” to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, dinner and desserts, as well as
view a video presentation capturing the history and growth of the companies.
The evening began with a Welcome Speech, Dan M. Hunter’s Vision for the Milestone Celebration
presented by Donna Hunter. Welcome and Toast by Donna Hunter. Donna pointed out that the 22
“Milestone” employees represented 340 years of experience and service, and such loyalty and dedication
were the keys to each company’s success. Tony Marciniak presented the Invocation and a Moment of
Silence held for those who have passed. John Gopoian explained the history of the “Challenge Coin.”
The Hunter Family and Board of Directors proudly recognized 22 distinguished “Milestone” employees
for their service, loyalty and dedication.
10 Years of Service: Henry Crespo, Deborah Elliott, Manuel Feneque, Janet Graver, Charles Hill, Gary
Judd, Nadia Mandour, Joseph Marcucio, Dawn Mendez, Marcello Miranda, Krystel Simmons and
Katherine York.
15 Years of Service: Christopher Beaulieu, Rita DeJoy, Kari Doucette, Diane McCarthy and William
McMahon
20 Years of Service: Alan Miller.
30 Years of Service: John Gopoian, Todd Ricci and William Westermeyer.
35 Years of Service Donna Hunter.
Congratulations to all Milestone Recipients!!!
Each honored “Milestone” employee was presented with a framed Milestone Years of Service Certificate,
a certificate allowing each employee the opportunity to choose a gift in memory of their years of service,
and a Years of Service Pin. Those celebrating 10 Years of Service also received a “Hunter Challenge
Coin.” During each individual presentation, a video displayed the employee’s picture and the employee’s
service history with the company.
Thank you to all of our employees for their service, loyalty and dedication! Each year Hunter’s honors

DONNA DINATALE 4/16/15: We want Donna to know how pleased we all are at base 7 to have Donna as our dispatcher. She does an exemplary
job. She uses everyone of us effectively, knows where we are at all times. She is such a pleasure to work with. She is always
pleasant, and truly cares about the drivers. This winter when we had bad weather days, and we were cleared for base, she would
tell us to call her from base, to be sure we arrived safely.
Thank you Donna.

IAN PIEPER 4/17/15: While working at MidState Medical Center on 4/16/15, I heard a very nice compliment about Ian regarding how
professional he was with the patient.
Submitted by, Darlene G. Hunter. Billing Quality Assurance
SLOANE PETERSON 4/22/15: I always have questions when things change. Anytime I have a question, Sloane always has the answer or gets me an
answer quicker than I would ever expect! She is kind and professional no matter what the question or issue I ever had and is
always there for me! I just thought it would be a nice gesture to write it down.

DONNA BATCHELDER AND CHARLES WILBER 4/23/15: I want to share that Tara Feher, Telecommunicator, wished to recognize you for your cooperation on using your
MDT. As you know, keeping track of vehicle times and status is important to our documentation of patient care. Tara pointed

SLOANE PETERSON-VATH,
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES
CONGRATULATIONS TO
PAUL FITZGERALD
and GERI RICCI
It is with great pleasure that we announce the following transitions to our management team:
Paul FitzGerald has accepted the position of Transportation Operations Director overseeing the
Limousine, Non-Emergency and Special Transportation divisions. Paul has been with the company for
over 21 years, and is no stranger to the transportation division. He successfully managed the Non-
Emergency and Special Transportation divisions in the past.
Geri Ricci has accepted the position of Logistics Coordinator, and will now be overseeing the
Telecommunication Division. Geri has over 12 years of service with the organization, including several
years in EMS, and as the department head of the Transportation division.
Please join us in congratulating and supporting Paul and Geri in their new and exciting roles!!!

out that she appreciated you using your MDT because it makes the dispatch job easier. I just wanted to thank you personally
and to share how important this task is to the dispatch center and the company. Thank you for a job well done today.
Submitted by, Roxann Heath, EMS Manager
CHRIS RYAN and JONATHAN PERROTTI 4/29/15: I just want to say thank you to Chris Ryan and Jonathan Perrotti for the outstanding job they did today on multiple
occasions. First they always keep me updated on their status and kept me informed on anything I might need to know. Today
when dispatched to a specific location in a nearby medical facility. They were unaware of where within this facility that the
specific location was. Instead of asking me they took the initiative to open their complex guide and look it up. When they
returned to base 1 at the end of their shift knowing the car they were in was going ALS 2nd shift they put ALS gear in it for
the next crew. This goes above and beyond and I wanted everyone to know how much I appreciate all they did today and how
thankful I am for crews like this.

SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION DRIVER FOR DAFFODIL FESTIVAL April 2015: I am in a wheelchair and rode your shuttle to and from Hubbard Park to attend this year’s Daffodil Festival. I
expected to donate or pay a fee, but was told that was not necessary. All the drivers and attendants were so cheerful and
super courteous. Thank you very much!
ARMANDO ROMAN 5/5/15: A client from our non-emergency wheelchair department called in to commend our driver, Armando Roman, stating
he did a wonderful job and was very professional.
Submitted by, Geri Ricci, Logistics Coordinator
FRANCIS IERACI 5/11/15: We responded to a call in a local town. On scene, we provided medical care to the patient. Francis was instrumental
in being able to multitask several tasks. He was awesome
Submitted by, Michael Cafano, EMS
NICOLE MAZZONE 5/11/15: I would like to personally recognize Nicole Mazzone for stepping up to help out last week. On Wednesday, May
6th, we had a book off which would have resulted in me covering dispatch. Nicole stepped up and stayed late in the morning
after her overnight shift to help. She came in until 0200 to help. This enabled me to be able to get a multitude of important
tasks completed. Nicole has been consistently offering to help, has been more than willing to change her schedule if needed,
and has come in to help on multiple occasions. She also stepped up to the plate as a new call receiver to learn dispatching, and
has excelled far beyond any trainee before her.

DENISE AKSOY 5-16-15 I have been meaning to write this email for awhile regarding Paramedic Denise Aksoy. I have been Denise's partner
for about a year now and I wanted you to know what an exceptional Paramedic she is. We have done countless emergencies
and she is consistently a true medical professional both on and off scene. Denise is always very calm, polite and her
paramedic skills are above reproach. On scene during stressful situations she has the ability to not only conduct a thorough
assessment but also reassures all family members as well. She is an irreplaceable asset to this company. I truly enjoy working
as her partner. Thank you,

TAKE CHARGE WHAT’S YOUR HEALTH SCORE?
For all employees enrolled in our medical insurance, find out in minutes with the Health Assessment.
If you need assistance please come to Bldg. 3; an HR representative can walk you through the process.
It is time to complete your Health Risk Assessment (HRA)
To qualify for the $25.00 premium reduction per pay period effective September 1st ,
You MUST COMPLETE your Health Risk Assessment (HRA) on-line from July 1st through August 31st.
THE HEALTH RISK ASSESSMENT is the online survey (takes about 10-15 minutes to complete) that must be done
separate and apart from any other health incentives to be announced.
You must complete the assessment online before August 31, 2015 even if you completed one last year.
Before you can take steps to improve your health, you need to understand where you’re at right now. That’s where the Health
Assessment comes in. This online questionnaire is an essential tool for anyone interested in knowing the details about their
health – both good and bad. By completing the Health Assessment you will receive:
• A personal health score
• A comparison with others of your age and gender, and
• Simple recommendations you can use right away to live a healthier life.
Backed by the expertise of WebMD, the Health Assessment is clinically validated and follows the guidelines of the U.S.
Preventive Services Task Force. Your answers to the Health Assessment are considered Protected Health Information and will
be kept completely confidential.
THREE SIMPLE STEPS:
Completing the Health Assessment is easy and takes about 15-20 minutes. There are three simple steps:
1. Answer a series of questions about yourself, your lifestyle and your well-being
2. Get your health score and detailed results
3. Review suggested changes to improve your health
To help you understand how to improve your health, the Health Assessment identifies your highest risk areas, such as weight,
diet, exercise and stress. Although some risks are uncontrollable—such as your family’s health history—others can be avoided
through changes in lifestyle and diet. Just one healthy choice each day can make a real difference over time.
HOW TO ACCESS THE HEALTH ASSESSMENT: The Health Assessment is available 24/7 via the ConnectiCare website by following these steps:
1. Log on to connecticare.com/members with your username and password. If you’re not a registered user, it takes only a
few minutes to sign up.
2. Click on “My Health” in the top menu.
3. Under “Maintain My Health,” click on “Health Assessment.”
4. You’ll be navigated to the WebMD member site. If you’re a new user on WebMD, complete the two-step registration:
• Check off “Topics of Interest” to learn more about specific health topics (for new WebMD registrants only – this step is
optional).
• Check off Newsletters that you’re interested in receiving from WebMD (for new WebMD registrants only – this step is
optional).
5. Click on “Take your Health Assessment” under your personal Action Plan, and you’re ready to begin!
We hope the Health Assessment will help you choose health goals and establish a plan of action for reaching them! For more
information about the Health Assessment, watch the short online tutorial at
www.brainshark.com/connecticare/healthassessment.
