"Being Renewed Day By Day"
Spring is almost here and already the trees, grass, and shrubs are putting forth
their new buds and leaves. I looked around the parsonage yard the other day and
everything looked so dried-up, brown and dead. So, I decided to pull up a few of the
plants that I had planted last year and replace them with new ones, once the threat
of another cold snap was over. As I began to yank a few of the plants from the dirt,
my mother-in-law (who happened to pass by at that moment) noticed something that I
hadn't. There were buds on the plants I was pulling up! There was life in what was
dead...new life springing up out of death!
As I pondered this sight, I was reminded of a scripture found in II Corinthians 4:16
that says, "...though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day." Though trials, troubles, sorrows, time and life cause this outward man to perish,
our inward man is renewed day by day. How are we renewed day by day? By a
constant, continual, on-going yielding to, and walk in and by, the Holy Spirit on a daily
basis. Remember too what it says in Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Do you want to be
renewed...To have new life spring up in you? Then walk in the
Spirit...listen to His voice, heed His leading, obey His promptings
then, new life...His life, will spring forth in you! I love spring,
how about you? May God Bless You & Have A Good Day!
In Christ's Service,
Your Pastor, Louis
We started in 2008 a great childrens
program called, JungleKidz. The
children are taught lessons from the
bible in a way they can relate to, make
crafts, have snacks and sing songs. The
ages vary each week but we are certain
to have something for children of all
ages. They are presently
getting ready to do an
Easter Program. We are
very proud of our
children!!
The Christian men of our
community would like to
invite the men of our
church to join them each
Wednesday morning from
8:00-9:00am for fellowship
and breakfast at The
Robinsons Restaurant on
441. Just a reminder that
the men of the church also meet monthly
when the Ladies have their meeting at the
church. We would love to see you there!

Psalm 34:17
Ireland's Church Planter-
St. Patrick by Dr. Ralph F. Wilson
Who was St. Patrick? Patrick was born on the west coast of
Britain about 360 A.D. At the age of 16 he was kidnapped
by Irish pirates and sold as a slave into the service of a
local king. On a rainy hillside tending sheep, he met the
Lord and his faith was nurtured over the next several
months. He escaped, but God called him to return to the
emerald isle as a missionary.
At that time druid priests, deep into black magic and the
occult, held the island's inhabitants in a lock grip. Patrick
challenged this demonic stronghold and won, but the
victory was neither quick nor cheap. He was imprisoned for
months at a time, his only respite from the stress of
constant travel and hardship. Yet one after another, tiny
kingdoms would finally allow Patrick to declare the good
news of Jesus within their borders. He baptized tens of
thousands. Hundreds of chapels were erected for the
worship of Jesus all over Ireland.
Who was Patrick? A saint of God who gave his life to help
people know Jesus by starting mission churches. St.
Patrick might feel more comfortable at newly-planted
church than even St. Peter's Basilica. After all, he was
partial to the challenge and excitement of new churches.

Bible Quiz
In the 8th century B.C., a prophet of God con-
demned the sinfulness of many of Jerusalem’s
citizens. On behalf of God, he chastised anyone
who abused power, was unjust toward the poor
and used bribes and position to gain money and
status. He even condemned prideful women who
walked “with outstretched necks, glancing
wantonly with their eyes, mincing along as they
go, tinkling with their feet.” (He was referring to
little bells attached to women’s ankles.)
Who was that prophet?
A. Isaiah
B. Amos
C. Hosea
D. Jeremiah
Answer: A
Feeding the hungry
To allow the hungry to remain hungry would be blasphemy
against God and one’s neighbor, for what is nearest to
God is precisely the need of one’s neighbor. It is for the
love of Christ, which belongs as much to the hungry as to
myself, that I share my bread with them and that I
share my dwelling with the homeless. If the hungry do
not attain to faith, then the guilt falls on those who
refused them bread. To provide the hungry with bread is
to prepare the way for the coming of grace.
