days after the publication of this notice.

2. One research position @ 15000/- per month is available in a HEC funded project, profiling of wheat

germplasm to identify high resistant starch genotypes for utilization as a food source for type-2

diabetic patients”. The candidate should have B.Sc. (Hons.) or M.Sc. (Hons.) degree in PBG or Food

Science with experience in analyzing starch physic-chemical properties. The interested candidates

NOTIFICATION The competent authority of the University has allowed the postgraduate students to deposit dues/complete enrolment formalities for Spring Semester, 2017-18 with late fee Rs. 5000/- alongwith normal dues up to 10-04-2018 who could not deposit dues within due date and failed to complete enrolment formalities. However, such students would be themselves responsible for the consequences (if any) of late enrolment. PhD THESIS/SYNOPSIS DEFENSE

1. Miss Sadia Noor, Regd. No. 2008-ag-613, student of PhD Chemistry, Department of Chemistry will

re-defend her synopsis titled “Intramolecular cyclization of substituted 0-(alkynyl) styrenes, synthesis

of polysulfanes and solubilization of Ni-complex in anionic micellar media” on 05-04-2018 at 11:00 am

in the Lecture Room-III. All interested ones are invited to attend.

2. Mr. Muhammad Mubashar Omar, Regd. No. 2006-ag-2133, PhD student in the Department of Farm

Machinery and Power will deliver a seminar to defend his PhD thesis on 02-04-2018 at 11:00 am in

DLC-1 UAF. The title of his thesis is “Design Development and Performance Evaluation of Biomass

Gasifier for Power Generation”.

3. Mr. Usman Zulfiqar, Regd. No. 2010-ag-2664, a PhD student, Department of Agronomy, will defend

his PhD synopsis on 30-03-2018 at 03:30 pm in the Department of Agronomy, UAF. The title of his

synopsis is “Agronomic Biofortification with Fe, Mn and Zn in Conventional and Conservation Rice-

Wheat Cropping System”.

4. Miss Humera Matloob, Regd. No. 2002-ag-1359, a PhD student in the Department of Botany will

defend her synopsis on 20-04-2018 at 10:00 am in the Lecturer Room No. 1, Department of Botany,

UAF. The title of her synopsis is “Distribution, ecology and structural and functional attributes of

Justicia adhatoda L. along altitutional gradient”. All interested are cordially invited to attend.

5. Mr. Muhammad Akram, Regd. No. 2001-ag-2555, a PhD student, Department of Agronomy, will

defend his PhD synopsis on 30-03-2018 at 02:30 pm in the Department of Agronomy, UAF. The title

of his synopsis is “A Simulation model for predicting the emergence and growth behavior of

Parthenium hysterophorus in changing climate”.

VACATION OF UNIVERSITY RESIDENCES/DAMAGES TO BUILDINGS It has been observed that at the time of vacation of University residences, the employees damage the residential buildings and other fixtures. Estate office takes over the possession and subsequently, ECD (M) informs that previous allottee has damaged the house for no reason. During the period of occupatio, allottees also make their own structures in the houses without permission and at the time of vacation remove their infrastructure/fixtures which also damage the original property. Keeping in view the above the Vice Chancellor has been pleased to pprove the following for strict compliance:- Estate office should get comments of ECD (M) to assess/estimate any unwanted damage to property before granting clearance to the allottee. No allottee should build any structure in the house/make any alteration in the house without permission of the competent authority and after approval of alteration OR construction of new structure, it shall be property of the University and allottee cannot remove the material/structure/fixture. QUOTATIONS 1. Sealed quotations are invited from Sale tax registered suppliers for the supply of growth pouches to

the Project Manager of the AVRDC funded research project entiteld “Seed Inoculation with Rhizobium

and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PDPR)” Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences, UAF.

Quotations with cutting/over writing shall not be accepted. Rates must be quoted without any terms

and conditions. An earnest money at the rate of 2% of the estimated cost (Rs. 99,500/-) in the shape

of call deposit/Bank Draft/Security Receipt, deposited in the name of undersigned accompany the

quotations. Quotations under sealed cover should reach Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir, Professor, Institute of

Soil and Enviornmental Sciences within three days after the publication of this notice. Details can be

discussed with the Dr. Zahir Ahmad Zahir within office hours.

2. Sealed quotations are invited from the registered contractors for the purcahse of a chemicals, by the

TL, PARB funded Project No. 582 under title “Utilization of poultry farm litter and dead birds compost

as livestock feed ingredients and agriculture fertilizer” Institute of Soil and Environmental Sciences,

UAF. The rates should be given both in figures and words without any over-writing and quotations

should be accompanies with a deposit call @ 2% of the estimated cost Rs. 99500/-. The quotations

must reach in the office of the TL Dr. Abdul Wakeel of the project within 5 days after the publication of

this notice.

AUCTION NOTICE 1. Surplus Raddi 1400 kg of OUBM, UAF will be

auctioned on 05-04-2018 at 10:00 am in the office of

University Books and Magazines, UAF. The list of

items can be seen in the office of University Books

and Magazines, UAF. All interested person are

invited to avail the opportunity. One third of the total

amount of the bid will be realized at the spot. The

remaining will be collected after the approval of the

competent authority. Advance income Tax @ 10%

of the gross sale price in case of filer and 15% of

the gross sale price in case of non-filer will be

collected from successful bidder and deposited in

the Government Treasury through Income Tax

Challan.

2. Twenty five (25) Nos. of edifferent

surplus/unserviceable store items of the Endowment Fund Secretariat (EFS), UAF will be publically

auctioned on 30-03-2018 at 10:30 am in the office of the Endowment Fund Secretariat, 06-Main

Road, UAF. The items can be seen during office hours. One third of the otal price will be recovered

on the spot, and the remaining amount will be received after the approval of competent authority.

Under section 236A of Income tax ordifnance 2001, advance income tax @ 10% for filler and @ 15%

for non filler of the total auction value will be collected from the successful/highest bidder. CNIC is

required for bidding. The competent authority reserved the right to accept or reject the bid without

assigning any reason. The persons who are interested may come and bid.
