Submissions are invited on the proposed Firearms Amendment Regulations 2017, which are intended to update the minimum firearm storage requirements that must be complied with by firearm licence holders.The objective of the proposed amendment Regulations is to achieve both the movement of the storage requirements from the Firearms Act 1996 to the Firearm Regulation 2016, where they can be more effectively updated in the future as technology and community expectations change, and to update the minimum storage requirements that have not changed in the 20 years since the Firearms Act 1996 commenced.

I, Robert Gott, Director (Marine Resources), pursuant to my delegated power under section 20 (1) of the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995, in accordance with Rule 11(2) of the Fisheries (Rock Lobster) Rules 2011, hereby determine that the public notice dated 15 November 2016 and published in Gazette No 21 657 on 18 November 2016 made under the provisions of rule 11(2) of the Fisheries (Rock Lobster) Rules 2011 closing parts of the rock lobster fishery comprising of certain activities in the eastern region, is rescinded on 23 November 2016.
Words and expressions used in this public notice have the same meaning as in the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995, the Fisheries (Rock Lobster) Rules 2011.

(2) Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Risk Assessment for Child-related Activities) Amendment Order 2016
This order amends the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Risk Assessment for Child-related Activities) Order 2014 by revising certain provisions in relation to the conduct of risk assessments, and additional risk assessments, to ensure the safety, welfare and protection of vulnerable persons.
