100% Paul Harris Club
North Scott Rotary has achieved the distinction of becoming a 100% Paul Harris Club
This distinction is earned by few clubs in our District 6000, or the entire Rotary World.
Presenting the Banner are PDG Chris Knapp and PDG Terry Geiger to our Past President Jeff Helms and President Dennis Peterson.
What thi means is that every ember of North Scott Rotary, at one time has achieved at least their first Paul Harris Fellow award of $1000 donation. Either by themselves or with the generosity of a fellow club member.

District Governor Mike Ruby has chosen this Bi-cycle Program as his signature project for his year. This bicycle will be at our club this week, along with information on the project.
Bicycles provide people with transportation for school, health care workers, farmers to deliver prod-ucts to customers, teachers to reach rural areas, and for workers to reach their jobs. These bicycles serve families much like cars and small trucks do in the USA. And weigh approx 51 lbs This bicycle is an engine for economic and cultural empowerment that can change the lives and eco-nomic family tree for an average of 5 people.
Cost, including delivery to their country is only $147.

LAST Week – August 11, 2017 – David Woods: Scott County Veterans Office
David Woods with the Scott County Veterans Office works extremely hard to help veterans and their spouses with family issues, funeral arrangements and any other paperwork they may need help with. He him-self spent seven months in Vietnam and totally understands PTST issues and other health issues that veterans may have. David also helps with the Honor Flights. The program is very near and dear to him. There are two more flights this year, one in October and one on November 1. Most World War II veterans have been and a lot of Korean War vets have been. If any of them apply, they will get first rights to the flight, as well as termi-nally ill veterans. The bulk of the Vets going now are Vietnam Vets. There are always vacancies for chaper-ones for the Vets. The cost is now only $400 for each person to go. If you have never been to the airport to welcome home an Honor Flight, you should go! They are very emotional. Most Vets have never received a proper thank you for serving.
Fifty five attended on Friday, including Christia Rivera, guest of Alex Dirck. Other special guests were PDG Chris Knapp and PDG Terry Geiger. Terry is the Chairman of D6000 Foundation. They were present to present the club a 100 per cent Paul Harris banner, for achieving the goal in May 2017, while Chris was gov-ernor. Bill Tubbs was the sergeant and collected $43 in fines.
The 4 Way Test
Of the things we THINK SAY or DO
1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
