    Situated along the north-eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay, south of Melbourne.Accessed off Beach Road between the Elwood Channel and Mordialloc Creek are almost 30 beach-side,signposted, car parks.Privacy Reasonable/poor; some are road-side, others have some screening vegetation from the roadSite description30 odd car parks for the adjacent beaches, set between Beach Rd and the cliff edge. Many have some shading from Casuarina, Tea-tree and Banksia. Some are open to the busy road while others have a thin screening - allare subject to constant traffic noise and are popular at peak periods.     Site descriptionA pleasant open grassed river flat in a bend of the Yarra surrounded by a large state park. Designed for tent camping, the open, un-shaded car park is separated from the camping area (shaded by Manna Gums) by a fence and shrubs. Nature trail and canoe landing.     Site descriptionA level, open wooded reserve extending 600m along the northern bank of the Little River (intermittent) with agravel circuit road. Open shade from mature River Red and Manna Gum over slashed grass, backed by open farmland. A reasonably pleasant overnight site, conveniently located to Geelong, the Princes Hwy and theWestern Fwy.

    Site descriptionA truncated bend of the main road has been developed into a fenced, level, sealed, unshaded parking areaadjacent to the picnic facilities, screened from the main road by scrub but subject to regular traffic noise.

    The reserve extends well beyond the formal picnic area (WC, BBQ [20c electric], shelter, 5 tables), slopingdown towards Hanns (Merricks) Creek (which is not much more than a small drain). Good shade is provided bySilver-leaf Stringybark, casuarina and wattles over roughly mown grass. Level, quieter, secluded and shadedinformal sites are located below the picnic ground, nearer the creek; but the access gate may be locked. Areasonable overnight camp
