SIZE XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) YARN 7 ( 7, 7, 8, 8, 9) balls of Rowan Big Wool 1 Ball of Contrast Rowan Big Wool.NEEDLES 9mm circular needle 40cm/60cm long (US13) and 10mm (US15) TENSION 10 stitches and 12 rows = 10cms Measured over stocking stitch using 10mm needles.

BACK Using 10mm needles, cast on 52(54, 56, 58, 60, 62) stitches. Starting with a knit row work in stocking stitch until work measures 44 (45, 46, 47, 48, 49)cm ending with a wrong side row.

** SHAPE RAGLAN Cast off 3(4, 5, 6, 7, 8) stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. (46stitches). Row 1: Knit 2, knit 2 together, knit to last 4 stitches, slip1 knit1 pass slip stitch over, knit 2 Row 2: Purl Continue decreases as set until 20 stitches remain. Leave stitches on a holder.

FRONT Using 10mm needles, cast on 52(54, 56, 58, 60, 62) stitches. Starting with a knit row work 8 rows in stocking stitch, Next Row: Knit 4sts place chart starting at Row 1 using Intarsia method, when chart is completed, cont straight until work measures 44 (45, 46, 47, 48, 49)cm ending with a wrong side row.

SLEEVES Using 10mm needles, cast on 18(18, 18, 19, 19, 20) stitches. Starting with a knit row work in stocking stitch, increase 1 stitch at each end of 3rd and every following 4th row to 38(38, 38, 40, 40, 42) stitches. Continue straight until work measures 48(48, 49, 50, 51, 52)cm, ending after a wrong side row.

SHAPE RAGLAN Cast off 3(4, 5, 6, 7, 8) stitches at beginning of next 2 rows. 32[30, 28, 28, 26, 26]stitches Row 1: Knit 2, knit 2 together, knit to last 4 stitches, slip1 knit1 pass slip stitch over, knit 2 Row 2: Purl Continue decreases as set until 6 stitches remain. Leave on a holder

MAKING UP Join all raglan seams Using 9mm circular needle begin at back left raglan seam, pick up and knit 6 stitches from left sleeve, 20 stitches from front neck, 6 stitches from right sleeve, 20 stitches from back. (52stitches) Round 1: Knit Round 2: *knit 2 together, knit 3 rep from * to last 2 stitches of round, knit 2 together Round 3 – 6: Knit Round 7: Knit 2 together, work to centre front and knit 2 together, work to top of right sleeve, knit 2 together and then work to centre of back neck and knit 2 together. Work to end of round. Cast off using 10mm needles. Join side and sleeve seams.

TENSION 10 stitches and 12 rows = 10cmsMeasured over stocking stitch using 10mm needles.

Using 10mm needles, cast on 72 stitches. (It produces a nicer effect if you work on a circular needle and work in the round) this is optional.

Work in a knit 2, purl 2 rib for 34 rows or rounds.

Cast Off in rib.
