Barren- having little plant or animal life
The moon is completely barren of plant and animal life.
This shoreline is often barren because of the fluctuations of the water level of this lake.
Crevasse- deep hole or crack
A crevasse stairway in China.A deep crevasse in a glacier.
Deserted- empty; not lived in, or having few or no people
A deserted island that I might as well call my own.
Floes- large sheets of floating ice
