Vocabulary Test

While you test• Your phone should

be silent and not on you!

• Your eyes should be focused on your test and doing your best!

• Take your time!

After you test• Place your scantron and

test on the desk at the front of the room

• Take out your response notebook, turn to the next clean, odd numbered page and complete the vocabulary homework with a purple literature textbook. page 354

As We Read• Consider the way the setting of the story is

representative of something else. • Remember last class’ discussion of theme? Look

for a topic the author seems to be preoccupied with.

• promontory – a high ridge of land or rock jutting out into a body of water
