Vitablend has a strong emphasis in the
infant formulae, clinical nutrition, sports

Global network and expertise
Vitablend is a flexible and ambitious
young organisation founded in 2001. Our
continuously expanding network of local
sales offices and production facilities in
Europe and Asia enable us to serve the
Global Market and to connect you with
appropriate partners. In 2008 Vitablend
joined Barentz Europe B.V., a Pan-
European food ingredient supplier and
distributor founded in 1953. Cooperation
with Barentz broadens our entrance to
a huge worldwide network of ingredient
suppliers and intensifies our insights in
the relevant markets, production proces-
ses and legislation.

within a high quality environment that
exceeds the demanding industry and its
criteria determined by the extreme vul-
nerability of specific consumers.

Vitablend’s formulation design compe-
tence lies in understanding production
processes and selecting the right ingre-
dients. Vitablend has extensive
experience in finding synergy between
selected ingredients so we can offer
a wide range of effective, custom-
made blends with specific performance
requirements.
For each application we bring solutions
Fortifying food products means wor-
king with a variety of ingredients. Using
balanced premixes instead of single
ingredients simplifies production proces-
ses, offers consistent quality and reduces
stock handling costs. The starting point
of all fortification premix developments
are the nutritional claims that have to
be met after referring to local food legis-
lation requirements. Our network of
approved raw materials suppliers enables
us to select the most appropriate vita-
min, mineral, nucleotide and amino-acid
ingredients for premix design giving due
consideration to organoleptic qualities,
production process, packaging and shelf
life. Premixes and ingredients are tested
in our internal analytical laboratory
to assure that they supply the correct
balance of nutrients and meet internatio-
nally recognized purity criteria.
Our easy to use antioxidant blends that
enhance the shelf life of foods are desig-
ned in a similar way with additional
support from our Application Laboratory
to demonstrate efficacy of any given
blend by running accelerated shelf life
and performance benchmarking studies.

Vitablend was established in 2001 by
six entrepreneurial experts with specific
technical expertise in the food indus-
try. Today, our team consists of more
than fifty experts who are fully dedica-
ted and committed to deliver results for
our customers. A medium sized organisa-
tion means working closely together with
short lines of communication and the
capability to act quickly.
Although a young company, Vitablend
accumulates many years of experi-
ence in fortification and protection. We
are proud of our profession and share
our research, production, market and
legislation knowledge within our inter-
national Vitablend organisation and with
the Barentz Company that has exten-
sive knowledge of the food ingredients
market for over 60 years. We know the
ingredient suppliers, food producers,
market and legislation developments
worldwide and share this information
through our international offices.
