Differs from a backhoe in that it doesn’t have an excavating arm
Gypsum BoardUsed to construct interior walls, made by pressing gypsum plaster between two sheets of thick paper
Heat Pump
Advantage: reduces energy purchase required to heat buildingDisadvantage: high installation cost
The condenser coils are tubes that carry refrigerant allowing the unit to cool
The compressor compresses cool Freon gas molecules into hotter, high pressure molecules that are then transported to the air conditioning unit
Batt Insulation
Loose Fill Insulation
Foam Insulation
Rigid Board Insulation
Lintel
A beam that carries the load of a wall across an opening
RebarA rod or bar used for reinforcement in concrete or asphalt pouring
Size #6 Rebar, ¾ “ diameter
Deformation ensure that the concrete and rebar lock together to form one component
Gutter
Downspout
Channel or trough on roof edge that transfers water from roof down to spout
Pipe used for conveying rain water from roofs and or gutters to the ground
Splash block
Small block typically made of concrete that catches rainwater from the downspout and directs it away from a building
