About Institute The Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT) is the first Engineering College in India established by a Para Military Force. The Rustamji Institute of Technology (RJIT) has been set up with the objective of giving an opportunity to the children of serving BSF personnel as well as for those who have laid down their lives in service to the nation. The Institute is named after the founding father of Border Security Force Padma Vibhushan Late K.F. Rustamji. The Institute campus is self-contained with all the basic facilities for all round development of students’ personality.

Vice Chairman’s Message I am glad to note that, Rustamji Institute of Technology, BSF Academy Tekanpur is going to release the first issue of its quarterly e-News letter. I congratulate the Chief Administrator, Principal & faculty for this maiden activity in the institute. I am sure that, this news letter will reflect various achievements, curricular co-curricular & extracurricular activities, sports activities, Alumni activities and other such information of three months period. I once again congratulate the editorial board of e-news letter of RJIT and hope that, RJIT faculty, staff & students and boys & girls aspire to get admission in renowned technical institutions will be immensely benefited from this news letter.

Chief Administrator’s Message I warmly welcome you to the first issue of the Rustamji Institute of Technology’s newsletter. Here you will find the latest news about the institution, its activities related to students, faculty, and alumni. Emerging technologies have caused the demand for talented engineers of virtually all disciplines to quickly outpace the supply in recent years. We have risen to the challenge of meeting this substantial increase in applicants by increasing our enrollment numbers and we are presently serving about 1900 students. Our strategy for ensuring that our institute remains well-positioned to maintain its phenomenal growth includes attracting qualified faculty. We look forward to keeping you posted on our progress on the remarkable accomplishments

of our students, faculty, and alumni. I urge the parents and guardians to show more interest in day to day activities and overall performance of their wards by keeping in touch with us to know the progress and performance of the students in the institute.

Dr. Manoj Sharma, HOD, Dept. of Mathematics delivered an Invited Talk during International Conference on Special Functions & Applications (ICSFA-2016) at Jamia Millia Islamia - Central University, New Delhi, India

About 20 research papers are published in various journals/conferences by RJIT faculty members.

The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology has CodeChef Chapter. The students of RJITGeek motivated students to program. They participated in various programming contests (national and international) and winning may prizes.

Software for online counselling for admission in BE courses (for BSF & CPO wards) developed by Hindu Singh, BE IT Final Year.

Software for TAC Wing developed Sachin Sharma, BE IT Final Year. The software is about efficiently management of various training programs of BSF conducted by TAC Wing.

Sachin Sharma, Chetna Meghani and Mohini Singh (All from BE IT Final Year) reaches the final round of Microsoft Imagine Cup 2016.

Quadcopter design selected in IITB in ROBOCON championship.

Adil khan of EC IIIrd year got 3rd rank in Robowar competition in IIITM Gwalior.

Team Imperial Soldiers achieved 3rd position in Quad-Torc event, (from 26/08/2016 – 30/08/2016) held at Chandpur, Bijnaur .

Team RJIT secured 1st Position in nodal level cross-country at ITM Gwalior in Sep 2016.

More than 5000 placement opportunities were provided to RJIT students in the academic session 2015-16.

Hero Moto Corp, a renowned core Automobile company visited RJIT to conduct a campus drive for the students of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering. The campus was conducted in January, 2016 in which RJIT students were selected at a package of 5.5 LPA.

RJIT Focal Point

An MOU was signed between RJIT and Volkswagen-Audi group for the students of B.E. & Diploma (Automobile Engineering). Under this MOU Audi established its lab at RJIT campus worth Rs.80 Lakhs. All the tools and equipments of the lab, including an Audi A6, are provided by the Audi group. After rigorous scrutiny, students are selected for training. After successful completion, student gets well placed in Audi. Till date 02 batches have passed and are well placed. MOU has been signed for 04 years. RJIT became Second College in INDIA and First in MP to sign such MOU.

How to Reach The Institute is located, in the campus of BSF Academy, Tekanpur, on the Gwalior-Jhansi National Highway No. 75, at a distance of 30KMs from Gwalior. The Institute is not linked with Railway or by Air. The nearest railhead are Dabra (16 KMs) and Gwalior (30KMs). The nearest Airport is Gwalior Airport (30 KMs). The buses can be availed from Dabra or Gwalior very frequently (appx. after each 30 minutes) day or night. The BSF also running its own Bus Service from Tekanpur to Gwalior and vice versa as Blue Line Bus. The Blue Line Buses are running 4-5 times daily from Gwalior Railway Station to Tekanpur and vice-verse.
