We will implement Vision 2030 Jamaica Vision 2030 Jamaica Vision 2030 Jamaica Vision 2030 Jamaica at the
level of each sector. This will be done through the 31
Sector Plans representing the economic, social,
environmental and governance areas These plans were
prepared by special groups called Task Forces, each of
which consisted of persons from the public and private
sectors, civil society and International Development
Partners.

BUT, every citizen has a role to play in making sure that
the targets we set for our country are met.

forgiveness and tolerance, love, peace, unity,
discipline, responsibility, cooperation, integrity,

AS AN INDIVIDUAL, WHERE DO I BEGIN? We will implement in three-yearly periods
through what is called a Medium-Term Socio-
Economic Policy Framework (MTF). For the
first three years (MTF 2009-2012), six areas of
importance or priorities and another five sup-

Vision 2030 JamaicaVision 2030 JamaicaVision 2030 JamaicaVision 2030 Jamaica, is a Plan that : • was prepared with the input of a wide range of
people across Jamaica; • will guide our country’s development over the
next 21 years; • aims to make Jamaica a developed country by
2030; • has a clear Vision for our country as stated in the
NATIONAL VISION STATEMENT:

(goals & outcomes); • states what we have to do to get there (national
and sectoral strategies); • includes ways of finding out (indicators) if we
have done what we said we would over the
period; • presents a plan of action to achieve our goals for
the first three years; and • provides a system that will make sure that we
implement, monitor and evaluate what we do.

Vision 2030 Jamaica Vision 2030 Jamaica Vision 2030 Jamaica Vision 2030 Jamaica has four National Goals,
as shown below, which tell us what we want to
achieve in each sector (economic, social,
environment) as well as in the area of governance,
by 2030. Each goal supports the other so none can
be fully achieved on its own.
WHAT IS VISION 2030 JAMAICA?
The actual or intended results we expect by 2030 are
outlined in 15 National Outcomes, as shown below.
Each Outcome is linked to a National Goal.
