Installation Performance Enhancements

The performance of each installation’s automated alarm reporting is further optimized with the use of Viseum iVOS Adaptive Deep Learning Algorithms. This enables your CCTV operatives to intuitively characterise alarms to automatically adapt the system’s algorithms, their parameters and thresholds.

Viseum Face Recognition Algorithms Library Multiple algorithms operate in parallel to optimize recognition accuracy. Some typical examples for pilot installation:

FaceRec MP – This is our most popular and widely used face recognition algorithm. This allows a complete 360 degrees head movement. The vertical head position can be up to ±15 degrees from the usual vertical position. Head turning up to ±45 degrees. Typical operational computing performance per CPU core:

o Face Detection: 110 faces per second. o Face Template Extraction: 35 faces per second. o Face Matching: 125,000 faces per second (30 kb image file size, up to 80 Facial Points).

FaceRec MC – This is our most complex face recognition algorithm for the most challenging

applications and environments. This allows ±30 degrees head rotation. The vertical head position can be up to ±10 degrees from the usual vertical position. Head turning up to ±10 degrees. Typical operational computing performance per CPU core:

o Face Detection: 250 faces per second. o Face Template Extraction: 50 faces per second. o Face Matching: 60,500 faces per second (12 kb image file size, up to 70 Facial Points).

FaceRec ASA – For advanced situational awareness surveillance operations, to detect facial

expressions and attributes during face extraction, e.g. smile, open mouth, closed eyes, glasses and dark glasses.

FaceRec GR – Gender can be determined for each face in the image.

Example Pilot CCTV Camera Installation

Helping overcome attempts to obstruct the identification of a person, Viseum has developed a face recognition CCTV camera system that uses a special Infra-Red spectrum to operate in challenging ambient lighting conditions, including complete darkness. This is now a Viseum Product Solution, the first of its kind and was developed with and for the most reputable police force in the Middle East.

This Viseum Product Solution uses 2 customised high-precision 5MP machine vision cameras:

1. Each camera has independent feature sets for gathering best results under many conditions. 2. Variable camera zoom lenses with Infra-Red illumination and filter system. 3. This also allows Viseum to customise the Product Solution design based on the results of the

customer’s initial pilot installation.

Face Recognition Training With face recognition technologies being quite new for end users to fully benefit, Viseum recognizes the need for its customers to have assistance from ongoing training and support. The start of this service will include the first technical design of the customer’s pilot installation. A technical test programme will initially be prepared with training activity scheduling, talking with the customer to help refine their operational communications and processes, data information logic flow and we will make additional recommendations for the final project solution design.

We commit to the policing of this IPR in the following way: As with any infringement, its trade reseller is the primary target for legal action, which is, in turn, followed up by making the potential user aware of the infringing product’s recall due to its illegal use. This is then followed up with full and complete legal action with the suppliers of such goods. This policy of proactive policing our markets in this way since 2002 has proven so successful that we have only ever identified one infringing party. A PLC entity was found to be trading with infringing goods and they can now no longer sell such goods, nor can they secure investment due to this breach.
