“Go Green” this Spring! It’s spring and that means the time to make your outdoor plans is now! If you added a few pounds over the winter, we have some great programs, facilities and parks that can help you get into shape in a flash.

We encourage parents to get their children involved in quality recreation offerings and have them experience the positive benefits associated with our programs that will last a lifetime. In fact, the entire family has the opportunity to “Choose Your Fun” by taking advantage of the many classes, trips, workshops, leagues and special events offered in this guide. The choices are there for you and your family. Take a closer look at what we have to offer on our Web site at www.rockvillemd.gov.

Don’t forget – you earn Rockin’ Reward points for your registrations and double points for Step Up To Health programs. Register early, February 26 through March 1, to take advantage of our “Early Bird” specials for selected courses held at the new Thomas Farm Community Center and receive additional double Rockin’ Reward points (refer to page 20).

Have a great spring! Get active and fit for a lifetime of benefits.

ChildrenA message to parents... We require, for most programs, that children are the required age, as of the date of the first class. All age requirements are set to benefit the child and make instruction more consistent for the program instructor. In some instances, the requirements have been set for the child’s safety. Registration by Internet or phone will be accepted if the child is the appropriate age at the time of registration. If your child does not meet the age requirements by the start of class, please register by fax, mail-in or in person. The registration deadline for all activities is two weeks prior to the start of class, unless otherwise noted.

Arts, Dance & EnrichmentBallet for ChildrenLearn the art of ballet through an elementary but professional approach. Children should register for the appropriate level but may be changed at the instructor's discretion. Solid color leotard and ballet shoes recommended but not required.
