Parent Open House Task Directions Can Be Found on This Document What Do You Need to Do Additional Details Have your child plug in their PCPS device None Have your child place the device somewhere safe and plug it in to use to complete their Open House activities on Thursday. Have your child log on to their PCPS device and Canvas page Student Information Sheet Instructions, usernames, and passwords are provided for students to log on to their device and access their Canvas teacher pages. Make sure your child logs on before Tuesday, September 8 th to make sure everything is ready for the first day of school. Teacher Welcome Video(s) Student Canvas Pages Teachers have recorded a welcome videos for students to watch prior to the first day of school. Enjoy meeting your new teacher(s) Canvas Observer Account & Parent Tutorial Canvas Parent Log-In Information Activate your parent observer account, watch an introductory video and complete a short parent tutorial on Canvas. Canvas is the new student learning management system. This will allow you to see what your child is doing in his or her classes. Review and Sign Various PCPS Forms PCPS Required Forms and Necessary Paperwork 2020-2021 Review and electronically sign important documents, such as the PCPS Student Handbook & Code of Conduct and iPad/Chromebook Agreement forms. Forms vary by school. Parents will review and sign off on these forms through the Parent Portal Account. Students will do the same through their Student Portal Account. Information accessing and navigating your Parent Portal Account can be found on the Parent & Students tab of the division website. Pay Student Fees Student Fee Instructions Page, Online School Payments Instructions, Student Fee Sheet Parents are asked to pay any fees their student may have. Parents can pay online, mail in payment or pay at any school. This document can be found on the PCPS Reopening of School webpage and is called Virtual Learning in PCPS. School Supplies

Students who receive special education services through the adaptive program should bring any school supplies communicated to families by their teacher.

Grades PreK-2 - Option #1 (Continuum of Learning) Students Bring these items with you when you come to school for the first time:

o Face covering for school (one to wear each day and one as a back-up at school) – labeled with name o K-2 Only: Pencil box, tissues, baby wipes, ziploc bags. The full school supply list is posted on the PPS webpage.

All other materials on the supply list should be kept at home to use on at-home learning days or until the teacher asks for them to be brought to school. Students will be provided with additional materials at school to use.

Grade 3 - Option #1 (Continuum of Learning) Students Bring these items with you when you come to school for the first time:

o Face covering for school (one to wear each day and one as a back-up at school) – labeled with name o Binder, 3 notebooks, a composition book, 3 folders, notebook paper, 1 24-pack of crayons, 2 yellow highlighters, 2 dry erase markers, 6 glue sticks, 6 pencils,

school supply pencil box, scissors. If your child cannot bring all of these items on the first day they come to school, split the items into two groups and send them in separately. The full school supply list is posted on the PES webpage.

All other materials on the supply list should be kept at home to use on at-home learning days or until the teacher asks for them to be brought to school. Students will be provided with additional materials at school to use.

Keep all of your school supplies at home to use while you learn there. When you do some to school, school staff will let you know what to bring.

Option #1 Continuum of Learning Students in Grades PreK-3 and Students Who Receive Special Education Services through the Adaptive Program

When these students come to school for in-person instruction, they will need to bring their device and charger with them each day. Students will take the device home to use on at-home learning days.
