Virtual Collaboration with Colleagues Providers who are unable to treat patients directly in a healthcare facility such as a critical access hospital, SNF, or triage unit can utilize pMD secure video calling to connect with a colleague (unit clerk, triage nurse, or tech) providing direct patient care. The provider located at the patient’s bedside can collaborate with the remote provider to take and share vitals and symptoms, and/or facilitate a direct conversation between the patient and remote provider in order to triage symptoms and either discharge the patient or recommend a higher level of care.
