Schirmer Music Company in 1921.

Each piece, as it should be referred to when being played

on violin, is preceded by a preparatory scale which

introduces a new finger pattern. The lyrics at the end of

each selection are provided not necessarily as a learning

device, but only as a point of interest and to indicate the

style in which each should be played.
