BIOGRAPHY

Van Gogh was born on March 30, 1853 in Groot-Zundert, Netherlands. Since his family was struggling financially he was forced to leave school to go to work at a young age. Moving to London in June 1873 he fell in love with Eugine Loyer he proposed to her and was rejected he suffered a breakdown throwing away all his books except his bible. He became devoted to God. Later van Gogh became creating artworks that would help him stay emotionally balanced. In time his family became worried and hired Paul Gauguin to look after him as tension grew between van Gogh and Gauguin fought and Gaugin left and van Gogh followed him with a razor he would later go to a local brothel and cut his ear off. He was sent to a asylum were he painted a starry night and shot himself years after.

THE STARRY NIGHT

A starry night is an oil canvas by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh painted on 1889 from his asylum room at Saint-Remy-de-provence just before sun rise. Exhibited at the museum of modern art .

THE POET: EUGÈNE BOCH

A good friend of van gogh was introduced by dodge McKnight. It is exhibited in Paris in the Musee d'Orsay.

THE POTATO EATERS

Oil painting by the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh painted in 1885 in Nuenen, Netherlands. The early version of the potato eaters was stolen from the Kroller-Muller Museum in December 1988 they were later captured by police. The primary sketch can be seen in the van Gogh museum in Amsterdam.

because he was an interesting painter with a interesting life. He created many famous paintings that have a interesting background story. He had a troubled life with a lot of ups and downs which made him into a great painter.
