ing wheel which make it easy to manoeuvre. It is also fitted with double braking systems which brake the trolley too. The vehicle has a ground clearance of 38 cm and a smooth underside which protects all the vulnerable parts. The design of this four-wheel driven mini-forwarder makes it an indispensable implement when a small, light and neat yet at the same time powerful machine is needed.

Unique propertiesMinimaster 620 is the only tractor that is made in Sweden. It is registered as a category 2 trac-tor and may be driven on public roads (third party insurance required). The mini-forwarder is powered by a petrol engine which drives the gear box via a change speed gear. There are separate chains from the gear box to the front and rear ends. At the front end, the chain drives a friction differential gear which transfers the power via a driving shaft to the transaxles

and then on to the wheels. The same thing applies to the rear end but here we have put in a stiff axle instead of the differential gear in order to gain best possible mobility. Otherwise the transmission is the same as at the front end. The gear box has two forward gears and one reverse. A driving wheel dependent power take-off on the gear box is used to drive the four-wheel driven trailer via a power take-off at the back of the Minimaster. The power transmission axle transfers the power from the Minimaster to the trailer’s wheels. This takes place via the central axle and the angular gear inside the frame out to the capstans.

Minimaster is fitted with an approved driver’s seat which is longitudinally adjustable. The seat has suspension which adapts to the driver’s weight and the inclination of the backrest can also be adjusted. The throttle is manoeuvred by moving a throttle ring towards you. It is mounted freely which means that it follows the movements of the steering wheel. The hand throttle, or work-ing throttle, is located on the left of the steering wheel and can be fixed in the required position of throttle when working with the crane. (It must not be used when the vehicle is moving off-road or on roads). The machine is also equipped with

a hand-operated brake for both right-handed and left-handed operators. It is manoeuvred by moving the brake ring towards the driver, to-wards the fixed ring, which acts on a hydraulic brake caliper which brakes both the machine and any connected accessories, such as a powered trolley.

Copes with demanding tasksMinimaster is designed to cope with really tough off-road driving and can be equipped with several different accessories, such as a snow blade and a bucket etc. When equipped with a powered trolley and the Vimek 362 crane, the mini-forwarder is an excellent machine for demanding tasks such as the transport of

timber, pulpwood and plants. Another acces-sory is the tightly-linked spiked chains which are made so as to give the best possible grip in difficult terrain.

Accessories allow more functionsVimek’s power saw attachment ensures that the power saw is safely transported and yet always easily accessible. The machine can also be fitted with a bucket for a grab, intended for the handling of sand and soil. The snow blade requires a load holder with a winch attachment at the front, with which the raising and lowering function is manoeuvred.
