Village of Niles Electricity Choice Municipal Aggregation Program Dear Village of Niles Residents and Small Business Owners, On April 9 th , 2013, voters in the Village of Niles approved a referendum allowing the community to enter into an electricity purchasing agreement to maximize electricity supply savings for its residential and small business customers. For the past year, residents enrolled in the electricity choice program were receiving its electricity supply from Homefield Energy. This agreement is set to expire May 31, 2015. Great News! After an extensive bidding process, the Village has decided to renew its Electricity Choice Municipal Aggregation program and has selected IDT Energy, Inc. (IDTE), to supply eligible residents and small business customers with electricity supply. Your New Electricity Supply Rate: Eligible members of the program will be billed the IDTE per kilowatt hour (kWh) supply rate listed below through your May 2017 ComEd billing cycle. Billing: You will continue to receive a single bill from ComEd, with IDTE’s electricity supply charges included in the supply portion of your bill. You will continue to be eligible for all ComEd payment options, including budget billing. In addition, if you are currently enrolled in the state’s Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) program, you will continue to receive the program’s full benefits.
