The Villa: location

This villa is truly a dream home.

The magnificent view of the Gulf of Naples and the Vesuvius vulcano (the villa is located on the road that leads from the port of Marina Grande to the famous Piazzetta di Capri) makes this large and original property truly unique!

Perfectly connected by taxi or bus to all parts of the island, which is very rare on the small island of Capri, Villa il Sogno is extremely bright and only a few minutes walk from the main Capri’s Square.

A little bit of History….

Designed by the famous architect Giovanni Battista Ceas using successive terraces in order to emphasize continuous panoramic views. The villa perfectly renewed still has the flavor of the 50s, with a magnificence of polychromes given by the typical Vietrese majolica and ceramic sculptures (such as the sun panel with beautiful, sometimes ironic, ideas on the zodiac and the meaning of the stars and the impressive fireplace sculpted with fantastic marine worlds) by the former owner the artist, Ing. Avv. Mario Cussino who oversaw the restructuring and expansion after the second world war.

The Villa: Description The entrance to the villa, also equipped with parking, is accessed through a beautiful long pergola avenue with climbing plants that leads to the spacious living rooms. The lounges are divided into various areas: reading lounge, antique fireplace lounge, dining room, lounge with second fireplace. All rooms overlook, through large windows, the 2 patios and the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius.

It will be a real joy to have meals, from breakfast to dinner, under the splendid colonnade enjoying a breathtaking view of the garden and Marina Grande. There is also an extremely spacious kitchen equipped with everything: fridge, freezer, microwave, Nespresso machine, oven, washing machine and everything you need to prepare food with the utmost flair.

The sleeping area is located on the first floor of the main body of the villa; three double bedrooms with two bathrooms and a huge terrace. On the ground floor, adjacent to the service area, there is the 2-bed room of the staff with it’s respective bathroom.

A large freestanding swimming pool will allow you to enjoy the fresh in the beautiful garden that surrounds this dream villa.

The charm of this splendid villa is also emphasized by the presence of a small private chapel located in a more intimate part of the garden.

In addition to the main body of the house there is an annex with 2 other suites bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. The annex has an independent entrance and can be eventually be rented together with the Villa.
