Pre-Engineered Approach

Traditional Approach

VIS Pre-Engineered vs. Traditional:

Our approach has a single point of contact, discounts off list prices, extended warranty, cost controls, needs assessment, project consultation & management, design review, installation and start-up review, commis-sioning review, final acceptance assessment, records archiving, staff training, service & maintenance support, & global reach.

Benefits:• Cost savings & rapid deployment• Tailoring to meet specific needs• Consistency across all projects• Streamlined sourcing and delivery• Budgeting efficiency• Reduced risk

Modular & Edge Data Centers

Modular & edge data centers are fully enclosed, self-contained compartments, which house IT/communication equipment that provides real-time autonomous processing of critical data for a wide array of industries. The configuration may be in the form of a small, unoccupied equipment enclosure, or a much larger, pre-fab-ricated, occupiable structure having one or more entry/exit doors.

Viking Integrated Safety works with you to develop an effective solution that reliably detects potential events while in the incipient stages of fire development and notifies personnel while initiating automated processes. Using agents safe for the environment and equipment present, the system rapidly extinguishes at the right moment and prevents reignition and spread.

Commercial and Military Aircraft Hangars

Protecting hangars and the expensive aircraft and equipment housed inside from fire requires early and efficient smoke, flame, and heat detection, as well as thorough and effective suppression systems. It is essential that the threat be accurately identified so that false alarms do not trigger unwanted suppression events. Our solution employs a combination of IR and video flame detectors integrated with an agent releasing control panel that can activate deluge foam and/or sprinkler suppression systems.

Hyperscale Data Centers

Hyperscale data centers are comprised of many inter-dependent adjacencies, each contributing to the operational continuity of the facility. An event in any part of the facility can affect uptime objectives. A good design considers a holistic approach applying protection elements appropriate to the hazard. Our solutions include integrated technologies for the protection of white space, CRAH galleries, mechanical spaces & chiller plants, electrical rooms, UPS spaces, generator enclosures, modular structures, administra-tive spaces, and even corridors.

If a power outage occurs, diesel generators start upautomatically, within seconds. While the generators gothrough a start-up phase, UPS systems deliver power so thatoperations can continue. Fires caused by generator and fuelsupply installations are typically fast, flaming fires, and heat orflame detection are the first considerations. The selection of anextinguishing system for a generator room enclosure dependson factors such as ventilation and cooling, fuel type, fuelstorage and the delivery system. Proven extinguishing optionsinclude fire sprinklers, AFFF foam sprinklers, and clean agent systems.

Li-ion Tamer Rack Monitoring System

This system monitors lithium-ion battery off-gas events. It is designed to be plug-and-play, easily to install, and consists of two primary components: (1) off-gas sensors; and a (2) controller.

• The sensors have advanced detection algorithms making them acutely sensitive to lithium-ion battery off-gassing, do not require calibration, are compatible with all forms of lithium-ion battery form factors & chemistries, and have a lifetime comparable to a typical lithium-ion battery system.

• The controller that contains proprietary logic to diagnose when and where battery off-gas events have occurred. It has outputs that can be used to electrically isolate the battery system and activate the ventilation system.

Agent Releasing Control Panels

Viking VFR400 Multi-Hazard Release Control Panel

The Viking VFR400 is a microprocessor based multi-hazard releasing control panel for use on preaction, deluge, Surefire® and Firecycle® multi-cycle sprin-kler systems, MX-1230 Fire Extinguishing System, and MX-200 Fire Extinguish-ing System. The Model VFR400 is UL listed, and complies with UL Standard 864, Ninth Edition, for Local Control Units for Releasing Service. It is designed to be compatible and installed in accordance with the requirements of NFPA 13, NFPA 15, NFPA 16, NFPA 72, and NFPA 2001.

The VFR400 is housed in a steel cabinet with removable door and key lock. Standard is red with black and white trim. The panel is available for use with either 120 VAC or 220 VAC for primary power. The cabinet will house up to two (2) 12AH standby batteries, which are capable of powering the unit in excess of 90 hours in the event of an AC power failure. For (2) 18AH batteries, a separate battery box must be used. The VFR400 panel can be used with a wide range of compatible initiating devices, such as spot heat detectors, aspirating smoke detectors, video flame detectors, and linear heat detectors (10,000 ft. — SAFE® Fire) or (3,500 ft. — Protectowire®).

Notifier® RP-2002 Agent Release Control Panel

The RP-2002 is a six-zone FACP for single and dual hazard agent releasing appli-cations. The RP-2002 provides reliable fire detection, signaling and protection for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings requiring agent-based re-leasing. The RP-2002 is compatible with System Sensor’s i3 detectors which are conventional smoke detectors that can transmit a maintenance trouble signal to the FACP indicating the need for cleaning and a supervisory ‘freeze’ signal when the ambient temperature falls below the detector rating of approximate-ly 45°F (7.22°C). In addition, the control panel is compatible with conventional input devices such as two-wire smoke detectors, four-wire smoke detectors, pull stations, water flow devices, tamper switches and other normally-open contact devices.

Four outputs are programmable as NACs (Notification Appliance Circuits) or releasing circuits. Three programmable Form-C relays (factory programmed for Alarm, Trouble and Supervisory) and 24 VDC special application resettable andnon-resettable power outputs are also included on the main circuit board. The RP-2002 supervises all wiring, AC voltage, battery charger and battery level.

Activation of a compatible smoke detector or any normally open fire alarm initiating device will activate audible and visual signaling devices, illuminate an indicator, display alarm information on the panel’s LCD, activate the piezoelec-tric sounder at the FACP, activate the FACP alarm relay and operate an optional module used to notify a remote station or initiate an auxiliary control function.

The RP-2002E offers the same features as the RP-2002 but allows connection to 220/240 VAC. Unless otherwise specified, the information in this data sheet applies to both the 110/ 120 VAC and 220/240 VAC versions of the panels.
