Assignment given was to make a bamboo chair. While manufacturing of chair different curriculum topics were introduced to students as shown in the fig. Emma and Jenny made power points on each lesson. All DBRT students were divided into 4 groups. Survey was undertaken in Pabal village to know customer need and preferences. Each group came up with a design of a chair and gave presentation about features of their bamboo chair. They prepared a small prototype using wooden sticks. Finally we shortlisted two best design for manufacturing. Students made the chairs in the workshop. Chairs were finally put up for display in village bazzar. Students got two more orders from villagers ! The exercise went on for about 15 days. The process of conducting lesson is getting documented in the form of OER and will be available on INDUSAPTI website.

It includes low costhousing, plumbing, electrical wiring,sanitation, agricultural tools, biogas, solardevices,ferrocementetc.

    IntroductiontoBasicTechnology(IBT)PLAN100update(SupportedbyLendahandIndia,Suzlonfoundation,HemendraKothariFoundation)1)Wewere invited tomake presentation of IBT program and its concept in ameeting of Chairman anddivisionaldirectorofRayatshikshansansthaon17thAug.Theywantedtostarttheprogramintheirschools.Advt.Raosaheb Shinde chaired themeeting. They formed a committee to submit the budget and suitableschoolstotheirmanagement.2) IBT program is at peak in thismonth. Hence all team is visitingdifferent school to give themdirectionandnewideas.

    Yogesh and vishal visitedNagaj, Walsang, kharshingschools inSanglidistricton9th 10th Aug. They also visitedjalihalschoolinJat.ThisschoolisrunbyYeralaprojectsocietyandtheyareconductingIBTonselffinancedbasis. Yogesh and vishal also

    3)Kaledhon Kaledhon School has planted 1 guntha areawith Brinjal /Merry goldplants. One of the school alumni have donated RS.1.00 lakh for IBTprogramme.

    4)TilaliandShanimandal On the occasion of 15th August Independence day, Tillali andShanimandal schools have conducted blood testing camp. Dor.LateshPatel from Suzlon foundation guided the student. 33 villagers fromShanimandal and 52 from Tilali tested their blood group by payingRs.10/pertest.

    5)Amkhelschool Amkhelschoolhasmanufacturedaround22 treeguard.TheycollecteddonationofRs.4400fromvillagers.School invitedvillagersfordonationandhaveputnameofdonoronrespectivetreeguard.

    6)Ashramshala,Sakri IBTagriculturesectioninBabaAmteAshramShala,Sakrihascultivated 5000 sq ft ( 5Guntas )of redpumpkin fortheirschoolkitchen.

    7)Dhamarischool 200 Acacia seedling plants are received as donation from Dhamari IBT School. They have developed it under Dyanrai project of Praj Foundation.

It was primarily due top back pressure.     C)PrajAnimalHusbandryProject GoatshedworkWork isinprogress.Sofarfabricationworkof internalpatricianwall,flooringwork

    andsidewallworkiscompleted.Targetistofinishworkby15thofSeptember. Poultry shedworkSite forpoultry is finalisedafterconsideringdifferentavailable sites incampus.

    Thissiteisjustbehindgoatshedonthewaydowntovillage.(photoattached).

    D]FoddermakingmachineWehave initiatednewproject tomanufacture foddermakingmachine.Due to less rainfall,we are facingdrought like situation at Pabal. Farm tank is almost dry and situationwill becomeworse during summer.Situation for fodder isworrying.Our friendsatSGSwealthcreator (Mr.SunilKulkarni,RajubhaiGandhiandMr.Ghatpande) introduced us to the foddermakingmachine.
