Viguiera parishii (V. deltoidea) Goldeneye This evergreen shrub is native to much of the Southwest and into Mexico, occurring at elevations from 1000 to 3500 feet. Goldeneye forms a dense rounded mound to about 4 feet across. The medium green leaves have a rough texture. The grayish- white stems are quite striking and provide an interesting backdrop for the bright green triangular shaped leaves. In the spring, yellow daisy-like flowers rise above the foliage. Plants will sometimes rebloom in fall as well. Viguiera parishii should be planted in full sun and well-drained soils.
