Press CTRL+J to duplicate the layer and rename it as midtones. 5. Select the midtones layer and hold CTRL then click the thumbnail image of your layer to add selection. 6. Go to Edit then Fill then from the Use dropdown choose 50% gray. 7. Ctrl + D to Deselect 8. Select again layer 1 (the duplicated layer of your original image). 9. Go to SELECT menu then go to Color Range then in the select dropdown choose Shadows then click ok. 10. Press CTRL+J to duplicate the layer and rename it as shadows. 11. Select the shadows layer and hold CTRL then click the thumbnail image of your layer to add selection. 12. Go to Edit then Fill then from the Use dropdown choose BLACK. 13. Ctrl + D to Deselect 14. 5. Select the midtones layer and hold CTRL then click the thumbnail image of your layer to add

selection.

6. Go to Edit then Fill then from the Use dropdown choose 50% gray.

10. Press CTRL+J to duplicate the layer and rename it as shadows.

11. Select the shadows layer and hold CTRL then click the thumbnail image of your layer to add

selection.

12. Go to Edit then Fill then from the Use dropdown choose BLACK.

13. Ctrl + D to Deselect

14. Hide the layer 1(the background copy of your image)

15. Add a new layer, fill it with white and place it after layer 1.

26. Rename the layer as text shadows

27. Clickt the TEXT MIDTONES layer, press CTRL + click the thumbnail image of your MIDTONES layer

to make a selection.

28. Selected the midtones text layer add a layer mask.

29. Clickt the TEXT SHADOWS layer, press CTRL + click the thumbnail image of your SHADOWS layer to

make a selection.

30. Selected the shadows text layer add a layer mask.

31. Hide the shadows and midtones layers to see the effects.

32. Make a merge copy of text picture, so select both the TEXT SHADOWS and TEXT MIDTONES and

press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+E.

your layer will look like this

33. Change the blending mode of your layer 3 to color

34. Click the gradient tool from your toolbox and choose spectrum and drag it diagonally from top left

to bottom right or you may choose your own direction.
