THE FIFTIES - The Pneumatic Power Steering System for trucks and buses, at a time when no power steering system was known to the world.THE SIXTIES The Pneumatic Door Opening System" for buses. The "Exhaust Brake System for heavy trucks & buses, The "Shock Absorbing" driver seat.THE SEVENTIES through the EIGHTIES - ALEX ORIGINAL developed in the early seventies A/C systems for European cars. In course of time over 700 models were developed for this market. The "Engine Load Control Device" for air conditioning systems for low powered vehicles. The device enabled for the first time to equip cars with small engines, with air conditioning. THE NINTIES Parallel Flow Condensers in order to meet the standard of the ozone friendly R134a, more efficient condensers were required. ALEX ORIGINAL met the challenge and build a production line for its own parallel flow condensers. In the nineties ALEX ORIGINAL was honored with the prestigious "Industry Pioneer Award" by the American "International Mobile Air Conditioning Association" for remarkable technological achievements. This decade ALEX ORIGINAL expanded the development of an endless range of air conditioning units for both commercial vehicles and buses of different sizes. Transport refrigeration units were created for any kind of vehicle and are suitable for applications of almost any kind. Another milestone in our never ending search for innovations is the product line of "Electric Sliding Doors &Steps" for minibuses and delivery vans. Here too, as in so many other products developed and designed at ALEX ORIGINAL, it is the totally different approach that makes all the difference. ALEX ORIGINAL is a privately owned company with a staff of 240 highly skilled employees. The company is located in its own, 18000 sq. m' modern and fully air conditioned multi-floor building.

1. SAFTY INFORMATION

This user manual safety instruction must be read carefully and obey following safety instructions. Always keep the user visibly for the user at any time.

It is FORBIDDEN to make changes or take apart from this user manual.Alex Original reserves the rights to make changes in this manual and products without advance notice.

DANGER RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Valid on Stand-by systems. User must read carefully and obey the following safety instructions, to avoid electric shock!

Stand-By system voltage is 230V/400V. The system must be shut down before connecting/ disconnecting the Stand-By cable to the network supply.

The operator must insure that the safety switch (FI30mA tripping current is installed on the electricity network supply. It is FORBIDDEN to touch live cables or electric parts.

Electric service should be made by qualified technicians only.

DANGER RISK INJURY!

User must read carefully and obey the following safety instructions, to avoid injury danger!

BE AWEAR of moving components such as electric fans, compressor, pulleys, belt etc.BE AWEAR of burning from hot or cold surface of component as compressor, hoses, condenser, receiver, dryers etc.

BE AWEAR of original vehicle components as radiator and motor etc. it is recommended to disconnect the negative pole from the battery and to ensure the vehicle from sliding.

The system may start working without any warning controlled by thermostat and pressure switches.

BE AWEAR of moving parts such as electric fans, compressor and belts.

BE AWEAR of injury from sharp parts as coils, condenser etc, when handling or operating the system.

In order to protect the environment, NEVER release refrigerant to the atmosphere. All parts should be recycled according to regulation.

***Always operate the system under safety instructions.

2. TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION SYSTEM PARTS

Transport Refrigeration systems contain the following parts:

3. DIGITAL CONTROLER

ID Plus 974 is a multipurpose refrigeration controller suitable for application on medium and low temperature refrigeration units. ID Plus 974 includes temperature and defrosts management.

3.1.KEYS

3.2. SWITCHING ON

3.2.1. ROAD SYSTEM

The digital controller will open automatically when pressing the switch.

If the switch was left on OFF position, it will stay on OFF position and the operator has to press on ON position.. The display will show the current room temperature.

To set a different temperature press 2 times on SET button

Press on up button to raise the current temperature.

Press on down button to lower the current temperature.

Press on set button again to lock your selection, or with for 15 second to display the selected temperature.

3.2.2. STAND-BY SYSTEM

To switch on the Stand-By system connect the external cable.

The digital controller will open automatically when pressing the switch.

If the switch was left on OFF position, it will stay on OFF position and the operator has to press on ON position.. The display will show the current room temperature.

To set a different temperature press 2 times on SET button

Press on up button to raise the current temperature.

Press on down button to lower the current temperature.

Press on set button again to lock your selection, or with for 15 second to display the selected temperature.

3.3. SWITCHING OFF

3.3.1. ROAD SYSTEM

To shut down the system press on ON/OFF button for 5 seconds.

3.3.2. STAND-BY SYSTEM

To shut down Stand-By system press on ON/OFF button for 5 seconds and disconnect the external cable.

3.6. THE MACHINE STATUS MENU

Access the Machine Status menu by pressing and releasing it. If no alarms are active, the 'SEt' label appears. Use the keys and to scroll through all the folders in the menu: - AL: alarms folder (only visible if an alarm is active);SEt: Set point setting folder; Pb1: probe 1 - Pb1 folderPb2: probe 2 - Pb2* folder (Only ID Plus 974 SMPS)Pb3: probe 3 - Pb3** folder

Setting the Set point: to display the set point value press the set key when the 'SEt' label is displayed. The Set point value appears on the display. To change the Setpoint value, press the and keys within 15 seconds. Press set to confirm the modification. Displaying the probes: When labels Pb1, Pb2 or Pb3 are present, press the set key to view the value measured by the corresponding probe (NOTE: the value cannot be modified)

3.7. PROGRAmMING MENU

User parameters: when accessed, the display will show the first parameter (e.g. 'diF'). Press and to scroll through all the parameters on the current level. Select the desired parameter by pressing .Press and to modify it and to save the changes.

NOTE: Switch the device off and on again each time the parameter configuration is changed.

4. WARRANTY

We warrant that the equipment is free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. The provisions of the warranty shall not apply in case the equipment that has been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper installation. Lack or wrong maintenance, modification, alteration has not approved to be under warranty by ALEX ORIGINAL.

Our obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing at our option any product that is returned to our place of business and when in its examination shall disclosed to our reasonable satisfaction that it is defective. The repair or replacement of the defective parts under this warranty will be made without charge for parts or labor.

The warranty is effective from date of sale to the original purchaser for 24 months.

ALEX ORIGINAL will not, under any circumstances, reimburse the cost of warranty parts purchased from sources other than ALEX ORIGINAL.

Our warranty doesn't cover other delivery costs such as travel time, mileage, goods, products or other incidental costs. It is limited solely to the replacement of defective parts under warranty.
