Education World Ranking – In a survey conducted by the ‘Education World’ ranking the Co-ed Day Schools of Delhi and NCR, BBPS RH achieved -
City Rank 47 State rank 63 All India rank 103
The ranking was based on parameters like academic excellence, co-curricular education, life skills education, community service, individual attention to students etc.I am proud to inform you that the All India Rank of BBPS, Rohini has moved up from 109 in session 2016-17 to 103 in session 2017-18.
Times Now Ranking – In a survey conducted by Times Now, BBPS RH was ranked 6th among the top 10 schools of the North Region of Delhi.
AWARDS/ACCOLADES/RECOGNITIONS:
State Teachers Award -2017 I am extremely delighted to share with you that Ms.Mridu Marwah (TGT Biology) received the Best Teacher Award in the State Teachers Award Ceremony 2017 held at Thyagraj Sports Complex on 5 Sept 2017. The honour was bestowed upon her by honourable Chief Minister Sh. Arvind Kejriwal and the respected Dy. Chief Minister Sh. Manish Sisodia. She received a medal, a certificate, a stole and a cheque of Rs. 25,000/-.
Life Empowerment Award for BBPSRH- BBPS, Rohini was recognized for meritorious achievements in the award category “Vision for School, Family and Community Partnership”. The Life Empowerment Award was received by the Principal in the award ceremony held on 17 August 2017 at India Habitat Centre , Lodhi Road.
Life Empowerment Award for Teacher Leadership- In the same award ceremony Vice Principal, Ms Bandhana Sharma was recognized for exemplary achievement in the award category “Teacher Leadership and Value Education”.

Mr. Nirmalya Banerjee, TGT Art received the Life Empowerment Award for exemplary achievement in the award category “Art and Culture Promotion”on the same day.
Teaching Excellence Awards 2017 - Ms. Purti Khanna received the Star Innovation Award under the Teaching Excellence Awards 2017 by S. Chand Group on 26 August 2017 in a ceremony at Arya Auditorium, East of Kailash. She was one of the two Primary Level English Teachers at All India Level to be recognised for her remarkable contribution to teaching of English language.
Outstanding Educator Award Ms. Namrata Markan received the ‘Outstanding Educator’ Award instituted by the organization IIHM for excellence in service in a ceremony held on 01 September 2017 at Hotel Grand, Vasant Kunj.
ACHIEVEMENT IN NATIONAL TALENT SCIENCE EXAMINATION - Saksham Garg, Aaryansh Mohan Bansal, Sidharth Agarwal and Shivam Garg of Class X have cleared stage II of NTSE 2017 conducted by NCERT. The students have been awarded a merit certificate, scholarship and an award letter each .
SOMT EXAMINATION Sidharth Agarwal (XI-A) secured IV position in the merit list in SOMT examination conducted by Delhi State Science Teachers’ Forum for students of Class X on 11 February 2017.He has been awarded a cheque of Rs. 10,000/-, a cash prize of Rs. 1,000/-, a trophy and a certificate.
NATIONAL LEVEL SLOGAN WRITING COMPETITION
BBPSRH participated in National Level Slogan Writing Competition on ‘Protection Of Ozone Layer’ on 01 September 2017 organised by Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate. Anjali Sahu IX B secured III position among two lakh eighty thousand students from 13,000 schools across India. She got a merit certificate and a cash prize of Rs.5000/-.
Achievement in Pre Regional Mathematics Olympiad Pre RMO 2017 was conducted by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education on 20.08.2017 and the result was declared on 15.09.2017.The following students of BBPS RH have qualified for the next stage of RMO.

ACADEMICS –
All classes are being held regularly as per the scheduled time table.
Periodical II for Classes VI – X and Terminal Exam for classes XI-XII were conducted from 08.09.2017 to 21.09.2017. Retests are being conducted for under performers of Classes X & XII.
CPT exams for Classes V and VII for Maths and English were held in May-July. Results were shared and analysed in July & remedial steps were taken.
Online Science Exam was conducted for class VIII on 10.08.17 & 11.08.17 by Kyoshi Education, Japan. Results have been given to students .
Special Classes were organized in the school for the students of Classes IX and X preparing for JSTSE and NTSE from FIITJEE, Disha classes and Gyansanchar.
Remedial classes were conducted for students of Classes IX & X for Maths, Science and Social Science.
FACULTY COMPETENCE
Mr. Kiranpal, TGT P.Ed.has been selected as International Referee –Technical official in the Cadet National Taekwondo Championship-2017 which was held at St.Andrew Public School, Agra, Uttar Pradesh from 3 to 6 August 2017.
Mr. Bikram Verma, TGT P.Ed.has been selected as Technical Committee member for Inter Zonal FIFA U-17 Tournament which was held at Modern School, Barakhamba from 15 & 16 September 2017.
Ms. Sapna Rajput, TGT History, is the only candidate selected from Private Schools to participate in a Panel-Discussion on content development of Social Studies textbooks, for classes VI-VIII organised by NCERT on 25 & 26 September 2017.
For the first time in Indian Taekwondo history, the Asian Taekwondo Association has conducted the ‘New Poomsae Education Seminar’ and the ‘World Taekwondo Federation Coach License Course’ at New Delhi from 02 to 06 October 17. Mr.Kiranpal, TGT P.Ed. was selected to attend the same.

Sports Day for Class VI
Sports day for Class VI was organized on Saturday 07 October 17 with 100% participation of students in Intra Class sports events. The Program began with prayer and chanting of mantras followed by a talk by Wellness Expert Mr. Sunil Gupta on the importance of yoga and good health. Rachna - an array of Interschool Competitions was organized in August 2017. The event comprised of 8 Online competitions , 3 Offline competitions and 1 Non- Competitive event. The objective behind introducing the format of online competitions namely Tell a Tale , Comic Creation , Webmaths , Let’s Talk –A Ted Talk Inspired Event

and E-Flyer was to infuse expressions of creativity with the boons of technology. The offline events were Artiste De Mathemagic , Puppet Making and Brands ki Adalat. The school also initiated a Non-Competitive Event-Nukkad Natak, raising relevant social concerns to inculcate the values of fraternity, teamwork, harmony, integrity and leadership skills among the students. The winners of all the competitions were rewarded on 05.08.2017. The Overall Trophy was bagged by BBPS, Pitampura.
JANAMASHTMI
Janamashtmi was celebrated by Primary & Pre-Primary Department on 10.08.2017 & 11.08.2017 respectively. The students sang devotional songs and gave a colourful dance presentation portraying the life of Lord Krishna. The mythological importance of this festival was shared.The toddlers of the Montessori Department performed a dance and participated in a colouring activity.
INDEPENDENCE DAY
The patriotic fervor of Independence Day celebration was depicted through a cultural programme organized on 10.08.2017.The cultural presentation included singing patriotic songs, a Nukkad Natak and a thematic dance on Vande Matram. Students made tri-color kites and fans.A short documentary film to mark the 75th Anniversary of the Quit India Movement was shown to students of classes VI – X. The documentary highlighted the historical significance of the event.
TEACHER’S DAY A special assembly was organised to mark the celebration of Teachers’ Day on 04.09.2017. The cultural presentation included a Qawwali and a Kathak performance encapsulating Ganesh Stuti. Ms. Shabnam Ajmani was felicitated for her meritorious service of 25 years at BBPSRH by the PTA. The Management organised a special lunch and movie show for staff members on 05.09.2017.
ACTIVITIES OF ALUMNI ASSOCIATION-BBExSA (Bal Bharati Rohini Ex Students Association ) organized a 20 Over Cricket Match between team BBExSA and the school cricket team on 15 August 2017 in the school playground to mark the patriotic fervour and to strengthen alumni’s connect with the school. BBExSA won the match and the Man of the Match trophy was bagged by Jatin Dua ( Batch 2015) for scoring 62 runs in 31 balls. The winning team led by their captain Tushar Madan (Batch 2002) received the Freedom Cup 2017 from Principal, Ms.Geeta Gangwani and Mr.Kushagra Aggarwal, President BBExSA. This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony.
ACTIVITIES OF PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION- The PTA felicitated the laudable achievements of the students in AISSCE 2017
on 22 August 2017 in a special morning assembly. All students securing 90% and above aggregate marks and the subject toppers were felicitated with a merit card, a trophy and a pen drive. The students were invited with parents and the felicitation was followed by high tea.
PTA has sponsored a dance teacher for middle department who will be teaching science through dance.

MONSOON MAGIC DAYMonsoon Magic Day was celebrated on 28.07.2017.The students were engaged in activities like making & sailing paper boats, smearing blue impressions of hands and decorating umbrellas.
RAKSHABANDHAN On 04.08.2017, the students dressed up in traditional outfits learnt the significance of Raksha Bandhan .They also participated in rakhi making activity.FRIENDSHIP DAY The students celebrated Friendship Day on 8.08.2017. This day was dedicated to make new friends and promises to be friends forever by exchanging friendship bands and sweets.
VANMAHOTSAV WEEK 'Vanmahotsav', a tree plantation week was celebrated from 04.09.2017 to 08.09.2017. It was an initiative to save the environment by planting saplings in the school premises. The students learnt the importance of trees and plants and recited poems about nature.
FRESH FRUITS DAY A fruit market was set up in Pre-Primary block on 17.09.2017. Students learnt about seasonal fruits through first-hand experience. They also relished fruit chaat.
HAPPY HANDS DAY Happy Hands Day was celebrated on 18.09.2017 where kids enjoyed various art and craft activities enhancing their fine motor skills. The activities were hand printing, paper folding, paper tearing and pasting.
CLUB ACTIVITIES–
ASTRONOMY CLUB –The Astronomy club for session 2017-18 was initiated on 01 September 2017 and 37 Students of classe V-VII have been enrolled for the same. The first session that was held on 01.09.2017, focused on composition of celestial bodies. Students learnt to make comets using dry ice, dust, soil, ammonia and soya sauce.
SANSKRITI CLUB –
On 19 August 2017 students of classes IV to XI went on ‘Save the Monument Drive’ at Roshanara Tomb. The students carried empty bags to clean the Tomb complex.
A short film titled ‘The Revolutionary kitchen Waste Composter’ made by Vipul Parasher , X-C & Ishta Jain , X-C won the prize for Best Original Script at the National Level of Film It Project under Children’s Film Society , India last year. This year the movie has been sent forth for selection at the International Level for film screening at ‘The Golden Gate ’, International Children’s Film Festival, India. The participants will be shortly intimated about the final selection.

Club members are actively involved in developing short films on Indian Culture under FilmIt Project. The selected films will be shared online with schools in the U.K. Following workshops related to the project were attended by the students :On 28 July 2017 conducted by Mr Faizal Alkazi , NSD.On 4 August 2017 conducted by Mr. Ankit Pogula and Ms Shreya Kakria, Renowned award winning film makers. The submissions of the films will be made by December 2017.
INTERACT CLUB –
On 5 August 2017 twenty students of the Interact Club along with teacher incharges celebrated Rakhi and Friendship Day with the special children of NGO Sparsh.The children donated goodies and tied friendship bands to the children of Sparsh. MsSapnaSukul , Director Sparsh, appreciated this noble gesture.
The Induction Ceremony of the Interact Club was organized on 25 August .Theprogramme began with the meeting called to order by outgoing President of the club, Manushreya Sharma. 70 students were given the Interact member badges by the President, Rotary Club Of Delhi, Rohini, Mr. Gautam Budhiraja and other guests. The new interact President Sejal promised to work to the best of her abilities in all endeavours.
Ms. Smita Sharma Dabas, Club Incharge,attended the Rotaract President Installation Ceremony on 26 August at Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology, as the Guest of Honour.The Rotary mission of the current year ’Making a Difference’ was initiated by a Tree Plantation Drive.
On 19 September a Tree Plantation Drive was conducted by the Interact Club members under the guidance of Rotary Club of Delhi, Rohini in a public park in Sultanpuri. This public park will be called the Rotary Interact Park as it will be maintained by the Interact and Rotary Club of Delhi, Rohini. The interact club members also distributed flyers on the theme ‘Save Trees’ to the residents of the area.
30 students attended the District Interact Leadership Assembly ( DILA) themed ‘Choo Lo Asmaan’ at Amity University , Noida on 11 October 2017. The students were trained about Interact Club Goals for 2017-2018.
Interact Club , BBPS, RH organized a special Oath Taking Ceremony on ‘Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao’ during the special assembly on International Girl Child Day on 11.10.2107.The Club members raised posters with slogans to create awareness about the issue.

In MUN conference held at Salwan Public School, MayurVihar on 18 and 19 August 2017.Divya Jain XI C, Nitya Bhasin XI C and Kaveri X A, represented All India Political Party, General Assembly and Human Rights Council respectively. The two day discussions & delibrations were extremely engaging.

ENVIRONMENT CLUB –
On 27 July 2017 the Legal Literacy Programme on Greening Delhi was attended by the Club members .Sessions Judge, Rohini Court Mr.V.K.Bansal in his address emphasized the need to increase the tree cover in Delhi. Mr.Bansal also planted saplings in the school.
Club Members collected waste paper from the school and donated the same to the organization Jaagruti for recycling .The school’s effort was appreciated.
Environment Club members participated in the Tree Protection Festival organised between 1-15 August 2017. The festival was initiated by Ms Suniti Yadav, the Tree Woman of India. The members made rakhis and tied them to several trees in the vicinity of the school and pledged to protect them.
RALLY FOR RIVERS
Students & staff members of BBPSRH have been actively involved in the RALLY FOR RIVERS Project initiated by the Isha Foundation.On 28 August 2017,a documentary and a video message by Sadguru Isha was shown to the students to encourage participation. The students and staff pledged to provide a zealous contribution in making the movement a great success. On 01 September students carried out a rally in school campus and raised slogans. Staff members wore blue attire on the day to mark their support for the cause. On 02 October 2017 the students accompanied by club incharges attended the grand culmination ceremony of the month long awareness campaign for Rally for Rivers at Indira Gandhi Indore Stadium. The occasion was graced by Vice President Shri V.K. Naidu, Minister for environment Shri Harshvardhan & Sadguru from Isha foundation.
A painting titled ‘Last Chant of Rivers’ has been prepared by eight students (VI-X) on the theme Save Rivers. The photograph of the painting has been uploaded on the Facebook page of Rally for Rivers – Creative Art & Videos for online National Level Competition. On 31 August 2017 the club organized a Swachh Bharat and Science Awareness March.The march was aimed at educating the masses about the use of science and technology in achieving the goal of Swachh Bharat. The students marched through the streets of Prashant Vihar, raising slogans and interacted with localites about the importance of segregation of waste, composting and scientific waste disposal.

The Health and Wellness Club organized Mental Health Awareness Week on 7 -14 October 2017. The underlying objective was to sensitize all stakeholders towards the common mental issues existing in the society. Relevant information in the form of posters and projects was displayed in the school campus.On the PTM held on 7 October 2017, the students performed a Nukkad Natak on eating disorders , a play on ADHD and a poem recital on depression to raise awareness.

LIFESKILLS PROGRAM Structured Life Skill training Programme in collaboration with Envision India has been initiated for students of class VIII. A series of six workshops will be conducted in the session 2017-18. These workshops will be conducted in classrooms using interactive boards. Three sessions have been conducted during the period of report on topics were Values, Academics and Study Skills & Personality Development. Selected parents were invited to attend the workshops. Positive feedback has been received from students, teachers and parents.
WORDSMITHS CLUB The Wordsmiths Club was initiated in the school in September 2017 to promote reading habits among the learners. The Club has 40 members from classes VI-XI. The club members are involved in the conduct of reading activities namely Knock Knock Tales, book review posting on blog and vocabulary enrichment activities in classes I-VIII.
EMPOWERING SUPPORT STAFF The housekeeping staff of BBPSRH was trained by Ms. Manisha Sharma, Astt. Teacher Dance to participate in the Learner’s Group Dance held at Mira Model School on 04 October 2017 during the Literacy Week celebration under DSLP.
MEDIA CLUB Media Club launched in collaboration with Zee Media Group has enrolled 22 students from classes VIII & IX. The club programme for session 2017-18 is titled " Nurturing Young Seeds" wherein students will be exposed to theoretical and hands on sessions on Journalism, live anchoring, communication, confidence building etc. Two sessions were conducted on 25 August 2017 & 06 October 2017 by experts from Zee Media and the students have been oriented about Journalism as a career and the requisite skills to pursue it.
CONTENT CURATION for Chalkit App Ms Mridu Marwah , TGT Biology and Ms Purti Khanna , Assistant Teacher English are working with Million Sparks Foundation as content curators for developing e-content for Chalkit App that is mainly used by SCERT schools. They are actively involved in the process of writing and reviewing the content matter of NCERT Science and English textbooks for Classes VI-VIII for the App.

BBPSRH has registered with iLEARN – Global learning Circles in September 2017. iLEARN, an International Education & Resource Network is a non-profit online network empowering schools for meaningful collaborations through projects with schools all around the world.
