Our heritage of innovation and quality

began in Attendorn, Germany in

1899 when Franz-Anselm Viegener

introduced a new design in brass

beer taps. By 1901, the company

evolved and began manufacturing

home plumbing

products. But

our story,

the North American story,

really began

in 1999, when the

family-owned Viega

decided to offer a

selection of Viega products in the

United States.

Initial product offerings in the

United States consisted of PEX

radiant floor heating systems.

Soon after, we continued to

expand our U.S. product

offerings by introducing a totally

new system of ProPress fittings

and valves to

connect copper

pipe. The new

century saw rapid

growth in Viega innovations,

including PureFlow — the first

PEX press plumbing technology,

ProPressG for solderless fuel gas

applications, technology to connect

copper to PEX and the Smart

In January 2011, legislation in the

United States mandated that all

new residential construction must

include a fire sprinkler system. In

order to provide the best, most

relevant products on the market to

our customers, Viega has launched

an innovative and affordable fire

sprinkler system. Viega fire sprinkler

systems can be installed using our

ProPress system, our PureFlow

system or a unique combination

of both systems.

With the

construction of our

439,000-square-foot

facility in McPherson, KS

in 2009, Viega is now able to supply

our products to more people more

efficiently than ever. The facility

houses extrusion, injection molding,

distribution and office space. It is the

largest PEX manufacturing facility of

its kind in the nation.

rigid CPVC piping. Tested and installed for over 30 years, Viega provides

Villa Amorosa protects its winery with Viega ProPress.

Viega ProPress was the system of choice

for fire protection at the Villa Amorosa

Winery in Calistoga, CA. Fairbanks

Mechanical Contractors installed the fire

sprinkler system, as well as the domestic

and hydronic water systems in the winery.

Fairbanks Mechanical was one of

the first contractors in Northern California

Yosemite National Park uses Viega ProPress for fire sprinkler systems.

Yosemite National Park decided to renovate

ten historical cabins with updates to their

The historic Harry S. Truman Home of Independence,

MO is now protected by a Viega fire sprinkler system.

The Viega Educational Facility in Nashua, NH is a

state-of-the-art building that houses the best instructors

residential fire sprinklers.

Viega’s PEX Press fittings are new and improved with added features

like availability in California compliant materials, attached sleeves for quick

installation and color-coded tool locator rings. The locator ring not only

identifies the connection size but also properly aligns the PEX Press jaws

on the attached sleeve for a consistent leak-free connection.
