Videocloud is a new way of generating TV

[cinfo] provides a mix of platforms (VideoCloud Platform) that enable the automated

generation of customized channels in SD, HD or 4K quality, with the ability to

trigger additional interactive video streams when the user clicks on the channel.

Our basic broadcast channels are generated

in real time from Cinfo or client content

libraries (trailers,…), from real-time

captures, from other channels or from

other sources of stored content.

Optionally, the channel may evolve depending

on the user clicks, providing a new way of

searching and enjoying audiovisual content.

broadcast promo channel• Composed of trailers and other client videos, in addition to showing tweets, RSS, etc. the

platform is responsible for generating the special effects (reflections, transparencies…), video

transitions and overlaying texts and images (content metadata, transparencies, logo bug,

etc.).

interactive promo channel• V-node and device are integrated for getting the playlist, which will link the barker channel

with the detailed information about the current content, VoD purchases, etc. The main use

case is to allow the user to buy the product that is being currently displayed.

The grid can be customized with specific positions and sizes, using more channels to group

themes. Is an all-video user interface.

• Content may be organized, grouping channels by category or topics in different mosaics.

zapping.

• It can be a gateway to broadcast channels, advertising or promotional channels and even as a

hook for the different customer services (catálogo VoD, catch up, events search engine…)

Videocloud architecture

required architecture for a first promo or mosaic channel deployment is very low cost

For the service deployment, it’s necessary, at least, the installation of a control node (c-node) and a video generator node (v-node) in the client Datacenter. Settings depend on the type of addons and the number of concurrent users. Will require a detailed study for each case.

Our VideoCloud platform is our technology engine, required to generate channels

Our Videocloud platform allows the TV channels generation from content collections. Inputs received from external systems are:

• A playlist or running order.• Multimedia content included in the playlist.

• Along with the input content, the TV channel is rendered with logo bug, transitions,

overlayed texts, reflections…

• After render, it’s encoded, compressed and sent via IP to the configured

destination (OTT platform, QAM modulator to broadcast DVBC distribution, etc).

• Outputs will be Single Program Transport Streams, according ISO/IEC 13818/1, over UDP,

so neither intermediate equipment (encoders) nor wiring (apart from power supply

+ Ethernet) are needed

• Both playlist and content can be sent to the Videocloud platform via FTP, or can be left in

an accesible URL for the platform
