Editing

This video has been put into black & white which is a typical convention of an indie music video. This gives it a very sad and classical feeling. The other effects used in this video is the one shown on the right. By using different effects on the video, it helps make it memorable and gives the video a unique touch. It also draws attention to the lyrics that are being sang at the time of the change in editing so makes them seem important.

Setting

The main setting in this video is a small room that the band themselves are in. This setting is simple and are accessed easily so that the main focus is on the band and their performance. However the snippets of extra video take place on the streets or are of industrial sites which then draws the focus to the lyrics that are coming with this specific part of the song.

Props

The main props used throughout the video are the four drums. This makes the importance of the bands performance clear, and therefore shows how important their music are to them. The other props included in the video include bleach and a petrol pump to again relate the video to the lyrics.

Performance

A usual convention of an indie music video is the shots of an actual band performance just to show the band doing what the really enjoy. Throughout the performance, close ups are used which helps to promote the artist as they are in the fore front of the video and also convey the passion that the band feel for their music.
