Mr. Vickrey Accepts Call To Church The Rev. Benny Vickrey,co-

evangelist in the New Hope Evangelistic Team at New Hope Baptist Church, has resigned to take a position as pastor at Catherine Lake Baptist Church in Richlands.

Mr. Vickery served here for a year and as pastor of Bible Baptist Tabernacle in Winston-Salem for two years.

He attended Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem for two years, and was ordained by New Hope Baptist Churcn here.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Vickrey of May Drive.

He has resided with his wife, Mrs. Brenda Poe Vickrey, at 1607 Melody Lane. They will move to the church parsonage at Richlands tomorrow. He will assume his duties at the Rich-lands church Sunday.

David Reid will continue as the other evangelist in the team at the New Hope Church. No replacement for Mr. Vickrey is planned for the near future.

Pastorship Is Filled At Oak View Bapt. Ch.

The Rev. Benny Lee Vickrey has accepted the office of pastor of Oak View Baptist Church, Arlington Street Extension, here.

The Rev. Vickrey is a native of Burlington, and is married to the former Brenda r'ay Poe of Snow Camp. He attended Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem.

He served as pastor of Catherine Lake Baptist Church in Richlands, N. C., for the last four years. While al Richlands' church, he led in the con-struction of a new sanctuary and many other improvements to the church's properly.

The Rev. Vickrev has served in several other· capacities including co-director of the New Hope evangelistic teams, New Hope Baplisl Church. Glen Raven, N. C., and as pastor of Bible Baptist Tabernacle, Winston-Salem.

Vickrey Named Past At New City Church The Rev. Benny Vickrey has

accepted the pastorate of the newly formed Saviour's Missionary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.

Vickrey attended the Pied-mont Bible College in Winston-Salem and has pastored churches throughout North Carolina for the past 11 years.

He also serves on the board of directors for the Springs of Life Rocky Mount Telegram

Rockwell Baptists name Vickrey pastor

ROCKWELL - The Rev. Benny L. Vickrey Jr. will assume duties as pastor of the First Baptist

Church of Rock-well on Sunday. He comes here after serving Charity Baptist Church in High Point.

He attended Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem ; has taken

Vickrey courses with Moody Bible Institute; and per-formed extension work with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He has pastored churches in North Carolina since 1967 and has served six churches in his 23 years of pastoring. He has served in the New River, North Roanoke and Central Baptist Associations.

He and his wife, the former Brenda Poe, have a son, Benny Lee Jr. They will reside in the church parsonage.

A graduate of Piedmont Bi~le College in Winston-Salem, Vickrey did Vickrey home studies through the Moody Bible Institute. During 1970-74, he completed extension courses at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest.

He has pastored other Baptist churches in Winston-Salem, Rich-lands, Rocky Mount and Burl-ington. He has served with the New River, North Roanoke and Central Baptist Associations, and has been on the board of directors of the Spring of Life Youth Camp in Patrick Springs, Va.

He is a member of the Ruritan Club and the Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association.

While pastoring small churches Vickrey also did secular work. As manager for Winn-Dixie, he led the store he managed (110 employees) to become one of the top 10 stores in the Charlotte division.
