HO CHI MINH CITY TRAVEL GUIDE

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: You must have a valid passport and a visa (or pre-approval for a visa on arrival) to enter Vietnam. Your passport must be valid for six months beyond your planned stay, and you must have at least one blank visa page. Visit the Embassy of Vietnam website for the most current information.

VISA INFORMATION: Vexos can ability to apply for a tourist visa with one-month single entry Vietnam visa, one-month multiple entry visa and 3-months multiple visa. It takes about 3 to 5 working days for issuing the visa. If you need Vexos to post the visa overseas, pls estimate the delivery duration.

Compared to most countries, the visa regulations in Vietnam keep changing so it is best to double check with your embassy or through the government website for any changes.As of August 2016, the following countries can get a free visa for the prescribed number of days. If you wish to stay longer, you will have to apply for a visa beforehand either through an agency or through the newly implemented e-visa program.

FLIGHTS: Currenlty there are non-stop flight from Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, China to Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat Airport). Flight takes approximently around 3 hours.

TRANSPORTATION: It is about 7KM from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the center of HCMC (District 1). It’s very convenient to take taxi. TAXI COMPANY RECOMMENDATION: Vinasun with taxi in white & MaiLinh with taxi in green.

CURRENCY: The official currency in Vietnam is the Vietnamese Dong (VND) although in some places, USD is also accepted.

ELECTRICITY OUTLET: 220V AC electricity. Power outlets are often compatible with either the standard US plug or the European one as well. To avoid the hassle of having to buy new adaptors for everywhere you go, we recommend picking up a Universal Travel Adaptor before you leave

SAFETY: Generally speaking, Vietnam is a pretty safe country to travel around in. Although there are a few scams to watch out for, the most common accident that happens is motorbike related.

WEATHER: Ho Chi Minh City has a tropical monsoon climate - it’s very much a typical steaming hot Southeast Asian metropolis where you can expect it to be either hot and dry or hot and wet. Regardless of the time of year, you’ll never need more than one layer of clothing in this southeastern Vietnam city.

Vexos’ ESD Control Program is based on the requirements and recommendations of ANSI/ESD S20.20 for the handling of Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESDS) electronic parts, assemblies, and equipment susceptible to voltages greater or equal to 100 volts HBM.

The ESD Control Program is based on three principles

All ESDS items and related conductors including personnel must be bonded or electrically interconnected and attached to a known ground.

Removal of nonessential insulators from ESD protected areas and neutralization of charges on essential insulators via ionization.

Transportation and storage of ESD sensitive items outside an electrostatic protected area requires enclosure in static-shielding packaging.
