In Nevada State veterans including their dependent are not consider resident of Nevada for education purposes after 2 years of living in the state. The new bill proposes to change the eligibility for in state tuition up to three years. Veterans should be honor for putting their life at risk to defend and maintain our country free and not punished them and their, when they come back home with high state tuition. This report includes: how many veterans are receiving benefits from the United State Department of Veterans Affairs, who identify themselves as veterans, how many males and females students are veterans, the average of age who are veterans, the most common degree among veterans, the number of veteran student who graduated each year, the effort of institution to retain and graduate students through programs.
