Call to Confession

Gracious God, we try hard to be good people, but somehow we still fallshort. We want to love, but still hold feelings of hatred in our hearts. Wewant to give of ourselves, but our busy schedules just keep getting in theway. Sometimes life just makes us breathless and we lose our strength anddesire to serve. Forgive us, O God, and breath into us the Spirit of truth, theSpirit that renews our lives with your presence, giving us a joyful heart, anda will to love.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in
Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead,
and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the
dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the
Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion
of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life
everlasting. Amen.

Great Thanksgiving (Responsively)
The Lord be with you.And also with you.
We lift up our hearts. We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.It is right to give our thanks and praise.
It is truly right and our greatest joy to give you thanks and praise, eternalGod, creator and ruler of the universe… Therefore, with all the powers ofheaven and earth, we sing the ageless hymn of your glory:
Choir: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might.
Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!
Great is the mystery of faith:Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again.
The Lord's PrayerOur Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom
come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day
our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is
the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever. Amen.
