Players decide whether the verb is a linking verb, a transitive action verb, or an intransitive action verb. They then check the VERBO grid to see if they have a matching space. If so, players write the verb on a paper square and place it over the space. For example, suppose the leader reads: “V — I am hungry.” If a player has a space in the V column labeled linking, he or she writes am on a paper square and places it over the space. 3. The leader continues reading sentence strips until one player covers all the spaces in a row and calls “VERBO!” A row may be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.
