Objectives:

A) Cognitive objectives: by the end of the lesson students will be able to:

1) recognize the forms of the verb to be;

2) ask questions using the verb to be in the singular;

3) develop their speaking skills;

B) Affective objectives:

1) to create a warm atmosphere in order to offer the background for smooth, easy

conversations between teacher and students; 2) to make students confident in themselves when speaking a foreign language.

Interaction: T- Ss, S-S, Ss-Ss, PW, GW, IWAssumed knowledge: The students already know the forms of the verb to be in the singular. They are expected to be able to use these forms in their own statements.Anticipated problems:

- if she thinks it is necessary, the teacher will offer the students guidance in solving certain exercises;

- some Ss might have problems when working in pairs; - a few among the Ss may be given supplementary explanations in Romanian.
