Venues in Pretoria

Last week we shared with you the best places to do e-shoots in Jo’burg . This week the focus moves to Pretoria, otherwise known as Tshwane or the Jacaranda City. With some assistance from fellow lovilees we made a small list. We would love to hear about more places or where you did your e-shoot in Pretoria! It is worth noting that some of the venues do charge a fee or that require some permission forms to be completed, to let you photograph there. It is always best to either check with your photographer or with the venue itself beforehand. 1. Pretville Pretville, {aka, FUNville} is exactly as the name sugst, FUN! It was created specifically for the Afrikaans film, Pretville. With all the fun colours of the 50′s styled theme, you will definitely enjoy your couple session here. Laura Jane captured previous sessions here and shared the images with us:

Transcript of Venues in Pretoria

Last week we shared with you the best places to do e-shoots in Jo’burg. This week the focus moves to Pretoria, otherwise known as Tshwane

or the Jacaranda City. With some assistance from fellow lovilees we made a small list. We would love to hear about more places or where you

did your e-shoot in Pretoria!

It is worth noting that some of the venues do charge a fee or that require some permission forms to be completed, to let you photograph there. It

is always best to either check with your photographer or with the venue itself beforehand.

1. Pretville

Pretville, {aka, FUNville} is exactly as the name sugst, FUN! It was created specifically for the Afrikaans film, Pretville. With all the fun colours of

the 50′s styled theme, you will definitely enjoy your couple session here. Laura Janecaptured previous sessions here and shared the images with

us:

3. Pretoria Zoo

The Pretoria Zoo has plenty undiscovered places to photograph, from stables to a cable car up high. You can even make a wish at the big

fountain! Images by Marinda May.

4. Rosemary Hill

At the moment this is one of our favourite venues to photograph at, Rosemary Hill. The venue boasts two greenhouses, a ruin, colourful

corrugated iron walls, trees and a lovilee veld. The images below were captured byPicture me&u.

5. Sammy Marks

Unfortunately photography isn’t allowed at the actual Sammy Marks Museum, but hidden away is a veld with building ruin and more special

corners. Laura Jane shares some images.

6. Kerkplein

Enjoy the history of our country and visit old President, Paul Kruger and all the old buildings at Kerkplein. Be sure to take some birdseed or

breadcrumbs along to spoil the hundreds of doves that make this their home. Images by Laura Jane.

Experience this lovilee tucked away jewel of Pretoria that will transport you to a different part of the world. Images atDuncan Yard by Laura

9. Bellbottoms Thrift Shop & Edd’s Diner

Browse the antique shop, Bellbottoms, whilst scouting the gold mine for some memorabilia for your photo session. Or enjoy the massive Edd’s

Diner Hamburgers and Chilli-cheese. Sometimes a little get-away can do you the world of good! Images at Bellbottoms by Laura Jane.

10. Menlyn Park Shopping Centre Drive-in

The Menlyn Park Shopping centre boasts a rooftop drive-in with vintage cars that can set the perfect scenery to capture your love story. Images
