soon as Venice lost its independence. In the 1960-90s period, John Haag (pictured)

There are 88 cities in Los Angeles County.
42 cities are under 40,000 in population.
7 cities are between 40-50,000 in population.
Venice has approximately 40,000 residents and would be in the population mid-range of cities in L.A. County.

Both L.A. and Venice would have to vote for separation.
For “disincorporation” petitions with signatures of 25% of Venice registered voters must be obtained.
