EXT. NEW YORK CITY - DAY LIGHT

Film opens up and we see a tall building. The camera is set

upon that one building for a couple of seconds, the camera

then spins around. We see a street in New York, destroyed.

Cars on fire, buildings with holes of fire in them, we are

looking at the certain apocalypse. We see a fighter jet fly

straight at the screen, the camera is whooshed back like a

cape during an air take off.

IN DARKNESS:

JONN (V.O)

The world wasn’t always like

this. That was the day the world

stood still, everyone stopped what

they were doing and looked to what

ever god they believed in and

prayed... They prayed for it to

stop (laughs) it just got a hell of

a lot worse.

FADE IN:

We see a boy walking with a bucket of water, he walks past

hundreds of men and children. He is sweating, he is

miserable, we see his face is down right angered, he is

frowning like an angry Samuel L. Jackson. The camera faces

him from behind, we see black kids, white kids, Asian kids,

all running around (all boys).

JONN (V.O)

For six years we have been living

in this hole. Six years ago, the

aliens invaded. They split the men

from the women, for six years I’ve

been living with my brothers’ and

father.

INT. HUT RESIDENCE

We see the boy walk inside a hut like structure. He opens

the door, we see two boys, one is playing with a video game

while the other is reading a book. Our main character (Jonn)

walks inside.

EDUARDO, Eduardo is Jonn’s older brother, he is tallish with

dark hair.

EDUARDO

How much ’you get?

JONN

Bucket full...

EDUARDO

That’s it?

JONN

Mr Leia wanted some...

EDUARDO

That’s fine...

JONN

Where’s Dad?

EDUARDO

Where do you think?

EDUARDO points to the front of the Hut, we see a man

standing outside. He has a cigarette in his mouth. JONN puts

the bucket on the floor, he then runs over and pats the boy

on the head, he then walks outside.

EXT. HUT RESIDENCE

JONN walks outside the Hut. We see a man wearing a hat, he

is standing near the edge of a cliff, he is smoking a

cigarette. The man is around 60 years old and has dark gray

hair. JONN coughs, the man turns around.

HOWARD

Whatever you doin’?

JONN

Normal parents say, "hello" or

"hey"

HOWARD

You know I’m not normal...

JONN

(laughs)

Yeah I realized that years ago.

What... Whatever you doin here?

HOWARD

Jonn, my wife, your mother has been

dead for 3 years, and I’m still not

over it. You know why I’m here, you

know what I do here...

JONN

I got it.

HOWARD

I’m sorry.

JONN

Why’re you sorry? You didn’t make

the aliens invade, you got nothing

to apologize about.

HOWARD

I would’ve saved her Jonn... She

died right in front of me...

JONN

She loved us. She loved you.

HOWARD

Maybe when the love of your life is

about to die, you’ll understand.

JONN

Maybe.

INT. HUT RESIDENCE - JONN’S ROOM

We see Jonn sitting on his bed. It is very late, we see him

looking at a photo of his mother. Jonn smiles, he puts the

photo down. He lies down on his bed, with no intention of

sleeping. He rests one hand across his forehead and another

by his side. He remembers things from the past, he remembers

a girl. We get flashes of this girl, she has long blond

hair. We hear a knock at the door. Jonn shakes his head and

sits up, he walks over to the door and opens it. We see

Jonn’s younger brother, Jonn smiles.

Jonn’s younger brother is around 4 feet tall, he is only 10

years old. His name is DANIEL.

DANIEL

I heard you screaming.

JONN

What?

DANIEL

You were screaming before.

JONN

No I wasn’t.

(CONTINUED)

DANIEL

Um, how come I heard you?

JONN

’Cause you’re making shit up?

DANIEL

I know, I would be one to do that.

But I didn’t this time. I actually

heard you scream.

JONN

Shit.

DANIEL

What happened?

JONN

You remember before all of this?

DANIEL

Before Mom died?

JONN

No, before this.

Jonn points outside as if to say before the aliens.

DANIEL

Yeah...

JONN

I met a girl.

DANIEL

Oh do tell

JONN

Why am I even telling you this?

You’re like 12.

DANIEL

Keep talking, Hamlet.

JONN

I doubt you even know who Hamlet

is.

DANIEL

Prince Of Denmark. Wanted to kill

his uncle.

(CONTINUED)

JONN

Right...

DANIEL

Tell your story.

JONN

The girl, that I met. I’ve

remembered a part of her every

single day ever since we were split

up.

DANIEL

And that makes you scream?

JONN

No... (sighs) I gotta find her.

DANIEL

Find her? Jonn are you retarded or

something? The Samas have like 100

soldiers watching every street at

every hour of every day. You can’t

think of escaping them.

JONN

Daniel, she’s the love of my life.

This set up... This set up the

Samas got goin’ on is wrong. We

can’t live like this.

DANIEL

Jonn, I’m thirteen years old.

You’re never gonna get anywhere

near her. For all you know, she

could be on the other side of the

world.

JONN

You don’t expect me to try?

DANIEL

Knowing you, you’d give it a fair

shot. But I’m not sure Dad, or

Eduardo would be proud.

JONN

Tell me about it.

DANIEL

How you expect to find her?

JONN

When we were younger. The day we

were split up, she was moved to

Sector 9.

DANIEL

Sector 9?

JONN

Every district, ours being the male

one, have a sector. Our sector is

22, she’s in sector 9, of the

female district.

DANIEL

You know this how?

JONN

I remember things, numbers, codes,

digits.

DANIEL

And yet you forget what happens at

the end of Breaking Bad.

JONN

Dan, I can change the world.

DANIEL

Listen, I know you can. But maybe

the world doesn’t want to be

changed.

JONN

I could change the lives of

billions.

DANIEL

You could endanger thousands. What

if the Samas find out we knew about

this? What would happen to me,

Eduardo and Dad? They wouldn’t

hesitate to kill us.

JONN

Do you have faith, or not?

Daniel looks outside Jonn’s window. He moves his hand

through his thick hair. Daniel nods

DANIEL

I have faith.

Jonn smiles.

7.

INT. SAMAS WEAPON FACTORY

FADE IN:

JONN (V.O)

In case you haven’t noticed, we

aren’t a rich family.

We see Jonn walk into the huge factory, we see these huge

Green alien like creatures, these are the Samas. They look

like the Green Goblin from the first Spider-Man movie, but

with a mixture of the aliens from District 9. Jonn puts his

wrist up next to a machine, this machine reads a bracelet on

Jonn’s hand, the machines reports that Jonn has arrived to

work on time.

JONN (V.O)

(Continued)

Those green things? Samas. They are

aliens from an unknown sector of

the galaxy. Not much are known

about them, except the fact that

they own the human race. I’ve

worked here for 3 years now, at the

end of the day I get $5, in today’s

irrational environment, $5 goes a

long way.

We see a guy wave at Jonn, this is Mike. He is Jonn’s best

friend. Mike is wearing a hardhat, like all the workers

there and is sporting a Triple H beard. Google if you don’t

know.

JONN (V.O)

(Continued)

That’s Mike. He’s been my unit

partner ever since I started out

here. He’s my best bud, I’d give my

life for that guy.

Jonn walks over to Mike, the two high hand shake in a high

five style.

MIKE

How’s the most dangerous man on

Earth going?

We see one of the Samas look at Mike

MIKE

(To the Samas)

T’was a joke. He’s not dangerous.

The Samas shakes his head and walks off.

JONN

You mind not getting me killed?

MIKE

(Laughs)

I can try.

JONN

(Laughs)

How long you been here for?

MIKE

Started the same day as you bud.

JONN

I meant, how long today.

The two are walking to their designated sector of the

factory.

MIKE

I don’t know, like 8:45. Why?

JONN

Shit.

MIKE

What?

JONN

Beat me again.

The two laugh and walk off the screen. The camera then lifts

up from a dark screen, we see the two working on a gun type

weapon.

MIKE

You ever wonder what the world

would be like if we weren’t led by

such assholes?

JONN

Yeah, considering I lived the first

15 years of my life in a normal

world.

MIKE

What’s Mr Jonn McBadass have

planned for the weekend?

JONN

Nothing.

MIKE

Jonn? Seriously, nothing?

JONN

You can’t tell anyone.

MIKE

I know exactly what you’re gonna

do.

JONN

You do?

MIKE

Yeah, of course dude. We all wanna

be male strippers but sometimes

JONN

MIKE

(Laughs)

What you really doing?

Jonn sits back in his chair. He runs his hands through his

hair, and rubs his eyes.

MIKE

Jonn?

JONN

I’m gonna escape.

MIKE

Escape what?

JONN

This.

MIKE

The factory?

JONN

No... The Samas system.

MIKE

You’re joking right?

Jonn shakes his head.

MIKE

You’re a dumbass if you think

that’ll work.

JONN

Maybe I am.

MIKE

You realize, Mr Scander tried to

last year, the Samas got to him,

they cut his right hand off.

JONN

I’m not Mr Scander.

MIKE

Scander served in the Navy, he

fought in Syria, he’s done all of

it. And you, Jonn, think you can do

better?

JONN

I don’t think, I know.

MIKE

Someone’s gonna tell them.

JONN

I’m gonna save the human race. If I

die trying? So be it.

MIKE

Why, do this though?

The camera zooms in on Jonn’s eyes. We see a tear in his

eye.

MIKE

Jonn...? Jonn....

FADE TO DARKNESS

EXT. SECTOR 9, FEMALE DISTRICT

FADE IN:

We hear a very quite sound, a sound reminiscent of a classic

rock song. The camera zooms in, we see a girl. The girl has

long blond hair, she has beautiful blue eyes. This is

Annabel. The girl Jonn is searching for. The girl is

standing in the middle of the jungle. It is raining, the

girl has a gun on her, she hears a sound, she fires. She

runs over to where she shot, we see a dead Bear.

ANNABEL

Shit.

We hear footsteps, the camera is faced from the back of

Annabel, we see another girl in dark pants and big combat

boots. She is average height, and she isn’t masculine but is

no twig.

TRIS

Watch your language.

Annabel turns around, she is caught off guard by the arrival

of her dear friend Tris, Tris has long red hair, she is

quite a beautiful woman, she is around 25-30, although no

age is definite.

ANNABEL

You scared me..

TRIS

My bad.

ANNABEL

(Smiles)

I killed a bear.

TRIS

You know, I missed that. I mean

what ever could this huge brown

thing, lying down, dead even be?

Annabel laughs

ANNABEL

Do we put it in the truck?

TRIS

It’s a bear Ann, the Samas love

hairy assholes.

Annabel cracks up laughing.

The two girls lift the dead bear onto the back of a red

truck. Annabel and Tris get inside the car, the two put

their seat belts on.

ANNABEL

Tris...

TRIS

What’s up?

ANNABEL

Do you think this will ever end?

TRIS

The Samas?

ANNABEL

Yeah.

TRIS

Hard to say. I mean, my heart tells

me yes, my gut says no.

ANNABEL

Do you think we’ll ever be able to

live as one planet again?

TRIS

With men?

Annabel nods her head.

TRIS

I don’t know. I mean, I’d love to

be with a man, start a family, be

happy. But the Samas, they’re evil.

They have no real use for us except

for cheap labor. Why the sudden

flood of men questions?

ANNABEL

No reason.

TRIS

It’s that guy isn’t it.

ANNABEL

It was 6 years ago, I barely

remember him.

TRIS

Ann, I’ve been your friend for 4

years, I know when you’re lying.

ANNABEL

I’m lying now?

Tris nods her head.

ANNABEL

I was 15.

TRIS

If he loves you, he’ll be there

when this all ends.

ANNABEL

Can’t he get here sooner?

Tris pauses. She waits a couple of seconds, thinking about

her reply. The camera focuses on Annabel, we then look back

to Tris. She smiles.

TRIS

Let’s hope so.

EXT. SECTOR 9, FEMALE DISTRICT - CITY CENTER

We see a gathering, a rather large crowd of women. Tris and

Annabel are there, the two walk closer into the huge crowd,

the camera panels up and we clearly see around 250 women all

standing there, waiting for something to happen. We hear a

whoosh of wind, the camera looks up, we see a bright yellow

light in the sky, it flashes. We then hear a loud crush, we

see a yellow beam shoot from the light in the sky and the

beam smashes the ground. The wind of the impact hits the

women hard, they cover their eyes to block the wind. We see

two Samas. One Samas is our main villain, while the other is

our villain’s right hand man. The two Samas walk out of the

yellow beam, they have disfigured faces. One of them smiles

at the women, the other grits his teeth.

The main villain, his name is Goshuujin-Samas. This means

’master’ in Japanese, the other alien is Migite, which means

’right hand.’ Goshuujin opens his mouth, we see the women

screaming at him. He laughs them off.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

You’re so petty.

The crowd starts to throw things at the two Samas.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

I wouldn’t do that if I were you.

Wouldn’t want us to take away some

of your dearest of friends now,

would you?

The camera closes in on Annabel.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

You people think this is a joke.

I’ve stood here as Earth’s rightful

leader for over 3 years. I have led

times and yet you pathetic feeble

minded creatures think you can

Migite smiles.

Migite leans over and whispers something in Goshuujin’s ear.

MIGITE-SAMAS

(Whisper)

How many?

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

None.

MIGITE-SAMAS

Nothing? I don’t mean to question

you my lord, but... The more people

they have the more likely a

rebellion is.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Migite, we’re the most dangerous

specie in this Galaxy or the next.

We stand taller than these

creatures. If they were to rebel,

they would’ve done it years ago.

MIGITE-SAMAS

What was the point of this meeting?

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

I want 5 dead.

MIGITE-SAMAS

Any 5?

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Any 5.

Goshuujin then descends to the platform where the beam once

was. The yellow beam begins to fire up, we see Goshuujin nod

his head towards Migite, Migite smiles. We see Goshuujin

blast up into the air.

The woman are standing around, they have no idea what is

next.

Migite looks around, he turns his wrist around, he swipes

his hand across his wrist, a blue computer like screen comes

up, he then taps a few buttons and then presses a button

with the word ’shokyo’ on it. We see a gun like weapon form

around Migite’s arm. He smiles.

The women start to run, Migite starts firing his gun, he

aims at multiple women he starts shooting, he misses one of

them but hits the other. We see Annabel and Tris, they start

to run, Migite runs after them, Tris runs the other way.

TRIS

Annabel!!!

Annabel continues her running, Migite races after her.

Migite then shoots her leg, she falls to the floor. She is

in pain, her leg is bleeding. Migite closes in on her, he

tilts his head to the right. He looks at her, shakes his

head while he laughs.

MIGITE-SAMAS

You crying dear?

We see Annabel holding her leg, her hands are covered in

blood.

MIGITE-SAMAS

You’re lucky I don’t want to miss

our council meeting. You’ve

survived my first encounter... You

should consider yourself lucky,

people usually don’t make it past

my first glance.

Migite, puts his gun away, he then opens his wrist command

center again (was used in the previous scene) he now presses

a button, we see the same yellow beam from before. He then

smiles and disappears into the darkness.

We see Annabel, she is holding her leg. She is screaming in

pain, we see Tris run over, she sees her dear friend. She

runs over. She leans over her.

TRIS

It’s gonna be alright.

The camera panels up, we see the two get smaller and smaller

and smaller.

FADE TO BLACK

EXT. SAMAS WEAPON FACTORY

We see Mike and Jonn walk out of the factory. They have

completed their working day. We see around 200 men all

walking around the same area.

MIKE

I can’t believe you’re gonna do

that.

JONN

Believe it.

MIKE

I just don’t see you doin’

something like that. I mean... It’s

no walk in the park.

JONN

You said something about Scander

MIKE

He tried to escape.

JONN

Where could I find him?

MIKE

Scander?

JONN

Yeah.

MIKE

Doesn’t he own the book store?

JONN

That’s Scander?

MIKE

Yeah, the one armed dude. Don’t

know how many of those you’ve ever

seen.

JONN

I’m heading off.

MIKE

You gonna talk to him?

JONN

Maybe. Take care

(CONTINUED)

MIKE

You... You too.

Jonn turns his back and starts to walk off. The camera zooms

in on Mike’s face. He has a dark look in his eyes, we see a

shade of darkness strike his right side.

EXT. BOOK STORE

We see Jonn outside a book store. This is Scander’s book

store. The store looks rather poor, the sign is dusty and

the store as a whole is utterly disgusting. Jonn looks at

the door, he breathes in and then opens the door.

We hear a ’ding’ from a bell, the bell then falls to the

ground. Jonn picks the bell up and places it next to the

door. Jonn walks around to the front desk. He sees a man

sitting down reading a book.

JONN

Excuse me...

The man reading the book looks up from his book. He gives

Jonn a look, we see a huge scar across his left eye. He has

dark Grey hair and glasses on. He takes the glasses off. The

scar becomes more imposing.

SCANDER

What do you want?

JONN

Um. I was wondering if you knew a

guy called Scander?

SCANDER

’Doesn’t work here.

Scander gets up from his chair and walks around the desk, he

grabs a bunch of books and starts putting them into the

right compartments/cupboards. Jonn follows him.

JONN

Hey!

Scander turns around.

SCANDER

What do you want, kid?

JONN

I wanna know how you escaped.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 18.

SCANDER

I’m not Scander, or whoever this

guy is.

JONN

Yes you are.

SCANDER

Who sent you? Was it Migite? Huh?

Was it?

Scander pins Jonn up against a cupboard, we hear tons of

books hit the ground.

JONN

Hey... Hey! No one sent me. I

promise.

Scander lets go of Jonn. Jonn brushes his hands across his

shoulder. He then rubs his shoulder blade, where he hit the

book shelf.

SCANDER

I wouldn’t lie.

Jonn looks over to Scander, he gives him a confused look.

JONN

What’d you mean?

SCANDER

If I find out that someone sent

your sorry ass, I’m going to kill

you, your family, and then I’m

going to take a shit on the money

you received.

JONN

Money?

SCANDER

What did you want?

JONN

I heard you were the guy who made

the great escape.

SCANDER

Meaning what exactly?

JONN

You got out.

SCANDER

You’re damn right I did.

JONN

Then you got caught.

SCANDER

(Laughs)

Yeah, guess I did. Let me guess,

you want out?

Jonn nods his head.

Scander gives Jonn a look, he nods his head twice, in a

rather slow speed.

SCANDER

Follow me.

Scander turns his back and starts walking towards the back

of the store. The store gets worse as it goes on, dusty,

with bugs everywhere. Scander and Jonn arrive at a door,

Scander pulls out a key, he opens the door. The door creaks

open. Scander turns on the light.

JONN

What’s this?

Scander walks in front of Jonn, he picks up a folder. We see

the title ’Velocite’, Scander throws the folder at Jonn.

Jonn catches the folder, he looks at the front. He looks

back at Scander.

SCANDER

Your future.

EXT. HUT RESIDENCE

We see Jonn walking outside his home, we see the lights on.

We hear crickets and bird sounds, Jonn opens the door and

walks inside. We see the three boys, Eduardo, Howard &

Daniel all stare back at him.

JONN

Hi?

HOWARD

Where the heck were you?

JONN

Work.

EDUARDO

You finish work at 5.

JONN

What time is it now?

DANIEL

9:45.

JONN

Shit.

HOWARD

Where were you?

JONN

I had to take care of something.

DANIEL

Take care of what?

JONN

None of your business. Okay?

EDUARDO

You alright?

JONN

I’m fine, I just think you guys

should lay off me.

EDUARDO

Lay off you? You’re the one who’s

eating cold food, if anything you

should be angry at yourself.

HOWARD

Eduardo, leave your brother alone.

EDUARDO

How come he’s allowed to stay out

and come home whenever he feels?

Huh?

HOWARD

Eduardo, leave it.

Jonn and Eduardo grit their teeth. Howard rolls his eyes.

HOWARD

The both of you, stop.

Jonn takes a breath in.

EDUARDO

Daniel told me about your little

plan.

Jonn looks at Daniel.

Daniel looks away.

HOWARD

What plan?

EDUARDO

Why don’t you get your favorite son

to explain his brilliant plan?

Howard looks at Jonn.

Jonn looks down and then answers the question.

JONN

I wanna escape.

HOWARD

Escape what?

JONN

This! I want to get out of hole.

HOWARD

Are you talkin’ about our home?

JONN

No. Are you that stupid? Look

around you, the Samas are ruining

too many lives.

HOWARD

You wanna escape them?

JONN

No. I wanna destroy them.

HOWARD

How exactly would you do that?

JONN

I’ve got a plan.

EDUARDO

Somehow, you’ll get everyone

killed.

(CONTINUED)

JONN

Yeah, Eduardo. That’s my ultimate

frickin’ goal isn’t it?

HOWARD

You’re not doing this.

JONN

What? Why?

HOWARD

You’d get yourself killed.

JONN

And? We’ll all die pathetic deaths

if we stand around and do nothing.

What happens when the Samas get

bored of us, huh? I’ll give you a

brief idea, they’d slaughter us.

You really wanna die a pathetic

death like cattle? Huh?

HOWARD

Jonn, you have to think about your

family. If you’re gone, what’re we

gonna do?

JONN

Oh please. You people don’t give

two shits about me.

EDUARDO

Yeah, Jonn. No one cares about you.

You ever think how dumb that sounds

coming from a guy who has lived in

a healthy home for his entire life?

JONN

Why don’t you focus on shutting

your mouth.

HOWARD

Jonn, I’m not letting you do this.

If you leave. I’m not letting you

back in.

The camera faces Jonn, we see Howard, Eduardo and Daniel all

walk away, they start going to bed. Jonn shakes his head and

walks into his room.

INT. SECTOR 9, FEMALE DISTRICT - TRIS’S HOME

We open up to a dark and gritty hut shaped home. The walls

are very dirty, the camera flies in through the window, we

see Tris walking with a towel, she walks into another room,

in the room, we see Annabel. Her leg hasn’t been healed yet,

but they have taken the bullet out and the towel is there to

cover the blood. Annabel wipes her forehead, she grits her

teeth.

TRIS

Still hurts?

ANNABEL

A lot.

TRIS

You’re lucky he didn’t blow your

head off.

ANNABEL

He had a dinner on.

TRIS

Pathetic creatures. I... I cannot

believe they push us around like

that.

ANNABEL

We’ve had our fair share of

mistreating people...

TRIS

Guess the shoe’s on the other foot

now.

ANNABEL

Why... Why did he try kill me?

TRIS

I wish I knew.

ANNABEL

You still think he’s coming?

Tris goes silent for a couple of seconds, she bites her

nail.

TRIS

Yes.

(CONTINUED)

ANNABEL

What’s he going to do when he gets

here?

TRIS

He’s going to change the world.

Tris gets up and walks over to the light switch. She glances

back at Annabel.

TRIS

Good night.

ANNABEL

Good night.

Tris smiles and then turns off the light. She closes the

door and we

FADE TO BLACK:

EXT. SCANDER’S HOUSE

We see Jonn knocking on a door. He starts walking around the

deck of the house. He knocks again and starts jumping up and

down on the deck. He rolls his eyes, he knocks once more. We

see Scander open the door, we see his scar and one arm. He

grits his teeth.

SCANDER

What the hell are you doin’ here?

JONN

Hey, I’m good thanks, how about

you?

SCANDER

What the heck was that?

JONN

That’s how normal people start a

conversation.

SCANDER

What do you want?

JONN

I wanna talk to you about the...

You know.

SCANDER

Escape?

JONN

Shh don’t scream that sought of

thing out.

SCANDER

Oh please, my neighbors have been

deaf for years.

JONN

JONN

(Mumbles)

Most bad ass man to ever care about

a clean floor...

SCANDER

Thank you.

We see Scander seated on a chair. Jonn is sitting on a

couch. This is the living room, it’s quite large, with a

very high roof, wooden floor boards.

JONN

How’d you do it?

SCANDER

Do what?

JONN

Escape.

SCANDER

I gave you those sheets didn’t I?

JONN

Yeah.

Jonn puts his bag down, he pulls out the folder Scander gave

him earlier.

He hands it over to Scander. Scander reads over the folder,

he smiles and throws them onto the table in the middle of

the two of them.

SCANDER

Nothing was going my way.

JONN

What do you mean?

SCANDER

I did it out of desperation.

JONN

That’s why they caught you.

SCANDER

Caught me?

JONN

That’s the story I’ve been hearing.

SCANDER

They didn’t catch shit. Can I tell

my story?

JONN

Yeah. Go ahead.

SCANDER

It was 5 years ago, I was working

at the Samas weapon factory, I was

sick of being mistreated by those

pathetic creatures, I rebelled, I

stop going to work, I worked out a

plan. I looked everywhere for

routes, detours anything. I found

this site under construction. No

one had worked on it for a long

time, I realized that was my escape

plan.

JONN

Why’d you want to escape though?

SCANDER

What do you mean?

JONN

Like, what was your reason.

SCANDER

Like anything kid, it was about a

girl.

The camera faces Jonn, he looks confused. He works out this

story is exactly like his.

SCANDER

You alright?

JONN

Yeah. Yeah. I’m fine...

SCANDER

You want me to continue?

JONN

Yeah. Go ahead.

SCANDER

Once my things were packed, I went

through the construction site. Once

I was out of our sector, I kept

walking for hours, days, weeks.

JONN

Did you get there?

SCANDER

Of course.

JONN

Then what happened? How’d you end

up here?

SCANDER

I was tracked.

JONN

How so?

SCANDER

I messed up. I left once mistake

and it cost me. I had to get the

hell out of there, I found my way

back before the Samas could get me.

JONN

What about your arm?

SCANDER

That’s another story.

JONN

Your story...

SCANDER

What about it?

JONN

It’s like mine. Like identical.

SCANDER

I know everyone wants to be me kid,

but I...

JONN

I’m not joking. All for a girl? You

worked for the Samas? It’s exactly

like mine.

SCANDER

Maybe it is.

JONN

What are you talkin’ about maybe?

It’s identical. I need your help.

SCANDER

For what?

JONN

I can’t make it on my own.

SCANDER

You want me to come with you.

JONN

Yes.

SCANDER

Fine. In three days we leave.

JONN

Three days? With a three?

SCANDER

Yeah. What? You not game for it?

JONN

I’m game, I’m very game.

SCANDER

You know what you need right?

JONN

No...

SCANDER

In the back of the folder, there’s

a list of things I brought. Have a

read.

JONN

Yep. Scander? That’s your name

right?

SCANDER

Damn right it is.

JONN

I’ll see you in three days.

We see Jonn, he grabs the folder on Scander’s table. He then

nods his head and walks outside.

Scander gives a bit of a smile, he then shakes his head.

INT. SAMAS WEAPON FACTORY

We Jonn and Mike’s area of the factory. Mike is seated in

his seat working on the new weapon for the Samas. We see

Jonn running in. He throws the folder on his desk and takes

a seat. Mike gives Jonn a look. He looks at the folders.

MIKE

What’s in there?

JONN

Nothin’

MIKE

Doesn’t look like nothing.

JONN

It’s a to-do list.

MIKE

To-do list for what?

JONN

Alright. Promise you won’t tell

anyone?

MIKE

Yeah, promise.

JONN

You know that Scander guy you were

telling me about?

MIKE

Crazy guy who made it past the

Samas?

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 30.

JONN

Bingo.

MIKE

What about him?

JONN

Well, he gave me a list of stuff I

need.

MIKE

Stuff for what?

JONN

You know?

MIKE

No. I... I really don’t.

JONN

I told you like two days ago.

MIKE

I forget.

JONN

The escape dude.

MIKE

Oh right. Yeah, good on ya’

JONN

Um, what’s up?

MIKE

Nothing.

JONN

Okay, well I gotta go take a leak,

make sure no one looks at the

folder okay?

MIKE

Sure thing.

Jonn turns around and walks off. He walks around a corridor,

we no longer see him. Mike looks around, he grabs the folder

opposite him, he flicks through the folder, he sees diagrams

and images. He shakes his head, he grabs his phone. Phones

in this time period look like thin clear iPhones. He takes a

photo of the plans and puts his phone away. He then places

the folder in the exact same place they were when Jonn left.

We see Jonn walk back and sit down.

He smiles at Mike, Mike smiles back.

INT. SAMAS WEAPON FACTORY - HOURS LATER

We see Mike pack up, Mike waves to Jonn and walks away. Jonn

opens up the folder, we see him read through the pages, he

examines the diagrams and photographs. He scratches his

head, he looks at the weapon diagram from the Samas and the

two designs are almost identical. Jonn reads on to the next

page, the next page reveals designs for a certain grenade

type weapon.

JONN

A shockwave huh? Reckon I know

where they are.

Jonn stands up and takes the folder with him, he sneaks into

the supply shed. He grabs three grenade type weapons called

’Shockwaves’. He puts them into a small bag. He opens the

door and walks out, he walks back to his desk and grabs his

bag. He switches the lights off and then walks outside. Once

outside, Jonn hears a gun shot, he hears a thud on the

ground. He sees a Samas soldier on the floor, he runs over

and rests his hand on his chest.

JONN

Oh my God. Are you... Are you

alright?

The Samas soldier lifts his arm up and tries to shoot Jonn,

Jonn then kicks the soldier in the face. The soldier dies.

Jonn looks around to see if anyone is there. No one is

around, he looks at the arm of the solider, he notices his

blue computer thing (as seen on Migite earlier) has fallen

off. Jonn leans over and picks it up. He throws it into his

bag. He stands up and runs off. He leaves the body of the

soldier in the middle of the dead street.

INT. HUT RESIDENCE - JONN’S ROOM

We see Jonn seated on his bed. He is examining the computer

thing. He presses one of the few buttons on the thing and it

begins to light up. Jonn looks confused and worried, he

throws it on the floor. We then see a logo come up, ’Kanri’.

Jonn examines the Kanri for another couple of seconds. He

then places it around his wrist, the Kanri is like a sort of

snake. It latches itself onto Jonn’s wrist and doesn’t come

off. Jonn starts pulling and pressing on it to get it off,

nothing is working. We hear a knock on the door. Jonn

panics, he starts throwing his folder and bag underneath the

bed.

HOWARD

Jonn? Open up.

JONN

Just a second.

Jonn then gets up and opens the door.

He smiles there awkwardly, his father looks around the room,

he notices the mess everywhere.

HOWARD

Jonn. What did I tell you about

this dream of yours?

JONN

You told me not to do it.

HOWARD

But yet, here is a folder with gun

designs in it?

JONN

It’s from work.

HOWARD

From work huh? How come there’s a

list of things you need for an

’escape’?

JONN

Get out of my room.

HOWARD

This is my house, my rules.

JONN

I don’t give a shit whose house it

is.

HOWARD

You won’t use that language when

you’re talking to me.

JONN

You’re treating me like I’m 10

years old. I grew up, I don’t

listen to you.

HOWARD

And why would that be?

JONN

You’re an old, stupid, sad,

pathetic excuse for a father.

You’ve been crying ’bout Mom’s

death forever and what have you

done about it huh? Nothing. You

like complaining, but you don’t

like doing anything about it. I’m

leaving, I’m going to bring the

Samas down onto their feet, I’m

going to change the world. And if

you don’t want me to? Screw you.

The needs of many out way the needs

of a few. Grow up.

Jonn grabs his bag and folders and walks out of his room. He

walks into the living room and slams the door shut. Everyone

looks at him. Howard walks out from Jonn’s room, Eduardo and

Daniel stare at Howard now. Howard shakes his head and goes

into his room.

EXT. SCANDER’S HOUSE - NIGHT

Jonn is standing on Scander’s porch. He starts knocking on

his door. Jonn looks inside, he sees a light switch on. He

smiles.

JONN

Yo Scander!

Scander walks up to the door, we see him open the door, his

ravaged eye and missing hand really pop out when he is seen

in his pink pajamas.

JONN

Nice PJ’s.

SCANDER

Shut up.

JONN

Pink? I mean, I’ve always imagined

you as a red or blue sort of guy.

SCANDER

The fact that you imagine what

color my pajamas are doesn’t really

frighten me. What the hell are you

doin’ here?

JONN

I thought... I mean, I was

wondering. If we could move the

date of this up.

SCANDER

To when?

JONN

Tomorrow?

SCANDER

I like you kid. You remind me of

myself.

JONN

Let’s just hope I don’t end up

looking like you.

SCANDER

You gotta smart mouth.

JONN

I know.

SCANDER

You sleeping here?

JONN

Can I?

SCANDER

No.

Scander then slams the door on Jonn’s face.

Jonn is shocked. He stands there and waits for a second. He

then knocks on the door once more.

JONN

Was that a no, like I can’t stay

tonight? Or was that a no, I can’t

stay at all?

We hear footsteps, Scander opens the door for Jonn. Jonn

smiles, Scander throws a towel at him and a piece of a

mattress.

SCANDER

Have a good rest.

Scander closes the door and smiles. He then turns around and

walks into his room.

Jonn stares at the door, he scratches his head.

JONN

You know, I wasn’t really tired.

SCANDER

(Screams)

I don’t give a shit.

FADE TO DARKNESS:

INT. SAMAS MOTHERSHIP

We see a Samas Soldier run into Goshuujin’s chamber.

Goshuujin is seated on a golden seat. He is looking out of a

massive space craft high above the ground of the humans. The

soldier is hesitant.

SAMAS SOLDIER

Lord Goshuujin...

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Shh. Just a second.

The soldier rolls his eyes.

Goshuujin looks at the soldier. The soldier is shaking.

SAMAS SOLDIER

Do... Do I talk now?

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Yes.

SAMAS SOLDIER

Right. Well, one of our patrol

soldiers down in Male district 7

has been killed.

Goshuujin looks surprised.

He stands up and walks down, he walks closer and closer to

the soldier. The soldier panics and walks backward,

Goshuujin smiles and places his hands behind his back.

Goshuujin rubs his chin, he then sits down on the stairs

leading to his golden chair.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

How was he killed?

CONTINUED: 36.

SAMAS SOLDIER

He was shot in the chest.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

By a human weapon?

SAMAS SOLDIER

No...

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

A human got hold of our weapon.

SAMAS SOLDIER

What should I do?

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Inform Migite. Once Migite knows we

shall travel to this district and

have a chat to the mere humans.

INT. MIGITE’S DORM

We hear a knock on the door. Migite walks over to the door,

he opens it up. We see the same soldier from earlier. Migite

invites him in. The soldier takes a seat. He takes off his

helmet and places his gun on the table next to him. Migite’s

dorm is a very dirty, grubby place.

MIGITE-SAMAS

What’s the problem?

SAMAS SOLDIER

Master Goshuujin told me to inform

you of the death of one of our men.

MIGITE-SAMAS

Where did he die?

SAMAS SOLDIER

Male district 7.

MIGITE-SAMAS

That’s impossible. How’d they kill

him?

SAMAS SOLDIER

They used his own weapon against

him.

MIGITE-SAMAS

Are we going down?

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 37.

SAMAS SOLDIER

Not yet, it’s a bit early to decide

who will win a battle between the

humans and us...

MIGITE-SAMAS

I’m not talking about a war you

dunst. I’m talking about if I get

prepared to go down to district 7.

SAMAS SOLDIER

Oh yes. Sorry.

MIGITE-SAMAS

Still a dunst.

INT. SCANDER’S HOUSE

We see Scander hovering over Jonn. Jonn is still asleep.

Scander starts whispering in his ear. Jonn starts to laugh

and role over. Scander rolls his eyes, he then bends down

and puts his mouth near Jonn’s ear.

SCANDER

(Screaming)

Get the hell up!

Jonn lifts his head up and hits Scander in the head. Scander

falls back. Jonn looks around. He is dazed and confused.

JONN

What happened? What? Where?

SCANDER

We’re gonna be late.

JONN

What time is it.

SCANDER

Morning. Grab you bag and let’s go.

JONN

Already?

SCANDER

Morning is when The Samas guard is

down.

JONN

You sure?

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 38.

SCANDER

You sound like you don’t trust me.

JONN

I don’t.

SCANDER

Perfect.

We see the two walking off, Scander walks in front while

Jonn walks behind him. The two are carrying two bags each.

Jonn looks up, he sees a massive ship hovering around the

area. Jonn taps Scander on the shoulder.

SCANDER

What?

JONN

Look up.

Scander looks up, we see the same blue beam shoot down like

the one that was seen in the female district. Scander turns

around, he keeps walking.

JONN

The Samas are here.

SCANDER

So?

JONN

Shouldn’t we like wait?

SCANDER

No. Keep walking.

Scander leads the way, we see Jonn turn his head as he looks

back onto the blue beam. He then looks forward at Scander,

he starts walking in Scander’s direction.

EXT. MALE DISTRICT 7 - CITY CENTRE

The blue beam is still shooting down, we see people ascend

into the city center, much like the women did earlier in the

film. The beam stops, we see two soldiers, Migite and

Goshuujin. Goshuujin looks at the men, we see Jonn’s family

enter the scene. They look scared and horrified.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Good morning Men. How are we today?

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: 39.

No one says anything, Goshuujin laughs and walks around, he

walks up to some of the men and touches their cheeks. He

then punches a man in the gut. The man falls to the ground.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Who killed one of my men? Two days

ago, a Samas soldier was found dead

with a gun shot wound in the chest.

My team told me it was one of you

people. So instead of being a

feeble minded leader, here’s what

I’m going to do. I’m going to get

every single one of you to throw

everything you own out of your

homes.

The people start booing. They start throwing things at the

Samas. The soldiers jump into the crowd and start beating

men over the head, Migite leaps into the crowd. He looks

around.

GOSHUUJIN-SAMAS

Everything. Out of your homes. Or

so help me, I’ll get every single

one of my men to come down here and

kill every single one of you!

Meeting adjured.

Goshuujin activates the blue beam once more, he flies up

into the Mother ship, we see Migite and the two soldiers

stay around.

MIGITE-SAMAS

You heard the man, get your crap

and throw it on the streets.

Everything, I’m talking photos,

electronics, glass’. Everything. I

want nothing in those homes. If I

find one thing in a home, I’ll kill

every single member of that family

with my bear hands. Do you

understand?

The people nod.

MIGITE-SAMAS

Go forth then.
