Algorithm
• If sum is less than or equal to 9, continue the addition process
• If sum exceeds 9, put on the immediate left (higher place value in the same row), and continue the addition process with the units place value in the sum
• Add two single digits at one time

Advantage
• Instead of calculating we recall from memory.• For e.g. 12 x 12 = 144, we recall, instead of
calculation.
• In recalling the chances of mistake is less.
• Recall is much faster than calculation.
• Always add two single digits in shuddha method of addition, which can be recalled after due practice.
