1 IntroductionVEA-501/401 Gas Analyzer is for measuringCO, HC and CO2 in automotive emissions bythe principle of non-dividing infraredabsorption, measuring NONot for VEA-401

and O2 by the principle of electrochemical cell,

    calculating excessive air coefficient based

on the composition of CO, CO2, HC and O2measured. This instrument is equipped withgas bench with self-owned intellectualproperty right, microprocessor is embedded. Itis an intellectual instrument with liquid crystaldisplay and Chinese or English interface.Inductive RPM (engine-speed) measuringpliers, oil temperature sensor and printer areoptional for measuring RPM and oiltemperature, and printing measurementresults.

This instrument complies with therequirements of International MeasurementRules OIML R99/1998 (E) made by theOrganization of International MeasurementLaw (OIML) and the National MetrologicalVerification Regulations # JJG 688 for class-1instruments. It is applicable for environmentaldepartments, vehicle inspection stations, automotive manufacturing factories andgarages.
